It is videos like yours that help so many people see how to not only save money and also provides invaluable tips on using the products. Thank you for your time and energy in making this video. I will be doing the same to m roofing he hopes of delaying the expense of a new roof for a couple of years.

If you had access to an airless type sprayer it would work. They are designed to spray thicker material. Great job Brock!!

I used a similar product on my last house. It did exactly as you speculated. It put off replacing the entire roof for 2 years or so.

My guess would be that the product could be thinned for better coverage and spray-ability. Usually water is a compatible thinner for acrylic paint blends/emulsions. For sample thinning don't add much water, a small amount of water might cause viscosity to drop quickly (it's the nature of emulsions).

As you know, the wind and hail in SE Kansas is really hard on roofs. I've seen whole neighborhoods here have most roofs replaced after a big storm. Many of them are claims against homeowners insurance. When it's time to replace yours, I encourage you to look into shingle specifically designed for our harsh weather. When we placed those heavy duty shingles on our home it actually lowered our homeowners insurance premiums.

i think u should have tarred under any shingles that you could lift up first before coating it with Henry’s shingle sealer

Good job man. It’s the sun that’s the hardest on the bitumen/ granule, followed by rain.

A little comedic insert to an old Stanley Brothers song (How Far to Little Rock): Q: Why don't you fix your roof? A: 'Cause when it's raining I can't, and when the sun's out it don't leak!

Good morning Brock. Sorry I haven't been around much this weekend so I'm a day late again watching your video. Years ago when my Wife and I were first starting out we owned a mobile home and I used a Henry's product to seal the roof. It came in 5 gal. buckets and you applied it with a brush like the ones that you would apply foundation coating. It worked very well so maybe that brush might work better. As far as replacing your roof, I would never use shingles again. A metal roof is the best way to go. Around our area in the mountains of North Central Pennsylvania the price is comparable to shingles and it has a lifetime warranty. Just thought I'd stick my 2 cents in. God bless and have a wonderful day. Now I'm going to watch todays video. 👍👍🙂

I called Henry and they said you need to buy a decent sprayer and not a cheap one.

Seems to be a band aid. It may stop the bleeding temporarily, but if the problem is to deep it will just break back open down the road and cost more to fix then just doing it properly and replacing the problem area on the roof. Just my two cents, but I hope it works out.

You need a poor boy sprayer, we use them for all sorts of stuff, even painting. Available at any parts store, dirt cheap, a siphon spray blow gun kit. Will spray cleaning fluids, soap and water, paint, anything liquid. If it puts out too much you can put a brass fitting in the bottom of the suction tube with a small diameter hole.

I seen an area that lifted when you were using the blower did you tar that section down? The coating will add some life to the granules but not solve your biggest issue of lifting singles.

You need a paint sprayer. A garden sprayer is meant for very thin liquids.

Well do you know how old your roof is?? Its hard to tell but I don't think the Shingles were installed correctly or its quality issue. I don't think this product will extend the roof life the way you want. The seal strips underneath are failing. Maybe Sno Coat will do better it adds more weight and thicker. The best time replace a roof is before they start leaking. Start planning now replace ASAP Dont wait 5 years you will be out more money.
