    I have done a few of them myself. Using the floor is a good idea for the design to be tested as you build stuff before it leaves the unit. Top stuff squire!

      Thanks Jon.
      The flatter the floor the better.

      @@TheMetalFabGuy Absolutely. The unit l rent now has a flat floor so compared the ribbed concrete floor l previously had l have luxury!

    floor layout is a must for oddball stuff. I do weird gates all the time, and its incredible how effective floor layout really is

    I know you are probably busy and making videos slows the job down but please continue to make videos I really enjoy them. I've probably watched all your videos atleast 5 times I'll go back and like them all to help your channel. Keep up the good work

    Looks great! In my shop we use a huge metal table to layout our rails. Works great.
    Really hope they fixed those stairs though. They were looking rough!

      Thanks for watching and your comments.
      That would be the ideal way of doing it with the bench. Especially for it to be true and good for line.
      But the bench would take up too much room in our size of shop unfortunately, especially if it was a permanent fixture.
      The steps were re asphalted after the install

    I think it’s safe to say that’s just a slight improvement on the existing one🤣 Looks great.

      Thank you 👍
      The existing handrail tube top rail had a ‘v’ cut in to the underside with a grinder to enable the bend (presumably on site) and had been filled with mastic !

      @@TheMetalFabGuy Like you say, on site bodge. The few times I’ve used or thought of using tube clamp system on angles it’s tricky to know for sure if the brackets are going to accommodate what you want.

    • @TheMetalFabGuy
      @TheMetalFabGuy  Před 2 lety +1

      The key clamp fittings that suit the angles do exist and usually accommodate most angles.

    I did my apprenticeship doing rails, you from aus ? Noticed your measurements are in millimeters.
