My father's signature scent. My father had 3 jobs when I was a kid, we never saw him much. But you could always smell this fragrance when we went to the bathroom!
Bought him a vintage a month ago. Love it!
Just received my first vintage PRPH (80’s formulation) today and it is exactly as you described. Thank you for opening my eyes to this masterpiece. It will always be in my collection. It’s really enjoyable to wear a piece of history and something unique.
Thank you Daniel, and I am glad to see you are enjoying this amazing vintage as much as I do. Delighted you found the review useful :)
Oh my!! The women I would attract with this scent in the 80's. One after the next. It was a great time to be alive.
Would like to see a comparison video between the current formulation and the vintage version...
I remember this fragrance as my Uncle (mama).moms brother used to wear this and all the classics..truly bold and masculine..due to Him only and this scent I embarked on this fragrance trip..infact before making this huge collection its because of this frag which got me going..
Great to know this started your fragrance journey Munish, this is the thing about scent memories isn't it? they not only store the scent they also store emotions.... our brain is a fantastic organ mate !
My top favorite, first bottle I've got was in the mid seventies, I remember the quality and the sweet amber, backed by the oakmoss, truly a top creation,, now as of late its sad what is left of it. I also have been looking for something similar to replace this gem!
Thats an 80s bottle Gabriel, so if you look for one, you might not have to look for a replacement i think. There are quite a few that keep popping up on ebay from time to time so good luck.
I loved the original PR back in my youth when it was ok for us young uns to wear it haha .
Great point Jason, seems like masculinity in these times is going the way of the Dodo.
I’m 40 and I grew up with my father wearing this. I used to wear it also in my teens. This and Drakkar Nior. I think I’m going to get a new bottle of PRPH even if it’s reformulated. Great review!
Had a bottle of this in the 80’s at one point. Such a glorious classic. May reacquire soon. Enjoyed as always. 👍
Yeah, totally, I think this has a place in every serious connoisseurs collection :)
One of my all-time favorites! I only wish the honey were toned down a bit....when my body heats up, the honey becomes a bit too cloying. That's why I save this one for very cold days only.
Yeah this is a fantastic fragrance Motti, and I am the same I bring this out on very cold days and its like a magical masculine elixir , I absolutely love wearing this fragrance:) Nice to speak to you buddy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond so kindly! Love your in-depth reviews! KEEP IT UP 💪
Hello AC and greetings from Greece!
This is the only Paco Rabanne I have, though I smelled other fragrances from this house, but frankly, nothing compares with pour homme for me. Perhaps I am an old school guy after all, lol!
Currently I have a 20ml bottle (80's formulation) which is great.
I have heard rumour that layering the current pour homme aftershave with a vintage edition has great results. Have you ever tried it?
On another note, since you like fougeres, try Alpa fougere if you can. It's a very refined Czech cologne which I use as an aftershave; a water down edition of Houbigant fougere royale I could say.
Lastly I want to mention something about the light on your latest videos. The angle is not right and half of your face looks dark, (your left side). Hope that helps.
Hello George, Greece eh... what a beautiful country :).
Thanks for the feedback on the lighting my friend, I will see what I can do.
I have never tried the layering suggestion, but can imagine it to work quite well :)
Thanks for stopping by :)
This was my father's signature scent he passed on in 2013 my mother gave me the bottle and what was left it I'd love to find the vintage so I can put it into my father's bottle
Nicely done...a classic!
Thank you Dan, glad you enjoyed my friend :)
I look forward to find this fougere in its vintage formulation, the leather in this fragrance is now lost, same as the honey and lavender opening, and the natural musk and oakmoss. I am 19 years old and use a clone of the current formulation, is nice and i love its soapy drydown. I wouldn't expect women my age like it, still... Greetings from Mexico!
Wow! Look at how dark that stuff is 😃 love this one even the current formulations, great review my man.
Thanks Jeremy, and yeah that juice colour is just gorgeous mate. I really hope you get your hands on a vintage someday my friend:), but equally happy to learn that you enjoy the current formulation as much.
Thanks for the great review. Just purchased a bottle of vintage off Ebay to compliment my bottle of the new edition.
Great decision Kevin, I am sure you will really enjoy the vintage! its truly gorgeous :). Let me know what you thought of it once you have smelled it.
Can't wait anymore to get this legendary scent on Thursday and yeah, i found the vintage one as yours ahahaaa. Cheers, AC.
Wow ! what do you think of it buddy? Do apologize for the late reply.
@@ACSmellsGood that's really fine my friend AC. Well, it's fragrance bring back my childhood memories. A CLASSIC MASTERPIECE!!! I'm 35 yo and suits me very well. I'll try to imitate your words "Beautiful, Just Beautiful". Have a good one, Amigo.
@@TheInstrumentalicoustic hahah fabulous mate !
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm gonna try it have a blessed day
Thank you Michael.
You welcome keep up the good work
I have it in green botlle the new one and it is ok...didn't try vintage but love the fougeres...nice video😀
Wonderful! thanks for confirming , I have only once just sprayed it in the mall and it was a few shades thinner and was a bit more lemony in my view. I think fougeres are very special and are coming back in fashion in a big way, look how popular New York Intense is.
@@ACSmellsGood i beleve so ...it is the new trend , and more and more fougeres are coming again
Indeed, and its a trend I am very happy to see come back :)
Omg you got a vintage, how lucky are you.... This and vintage azzaro I love. Great video
Hahaha, thanks mate, I know you love fougeres :)
@@ACSmellsGood yes I do.... Beautiful creations
Totally mate :) and very nice to see you pal :)
@@ACSmellsGood thank you nice to see you too... Always a great review
great take on a classic AC, love this fragrance!
Thank you Max, I am so pleased to know that you own this and love it, its a very special fougere.
Smells Good it’s a very special one indeed! And you are right when saying better the vintage version. Bu the way, today I got a bottle of Jovoy’s Art De La Guerre, another great Fougere but with a sophisticated modern take on the genre. You should try it as I’m pretty sure you’ll LOVE it.
Thanks for reminding me Max, I have a 2ml notino sample lying around in my samples box, never tried it for some reason, I will bring that out as I trust your nose :)
Excellent review AC... I love this fragrance very much 🙏 ❤️
Thanks Rex, and pleased to know you enjoy this as well, infact not surprised at all mate.... we have a lot of fragrances in our collection that are common.
great review sir. just picked up a sealed 1993 75ml paco Rabanne P H for £25.. really looking forward to it arriving
OH! what a find John, I hope you love it as much as I do :)
@@ACSmellsGood thank you sir
I have never tried the vintage formula, but I very much like the reformulated version
Thanks for the confirmation buddy I always wondered.
Hi AC sir ....... got the latest formulation but still ..... wow , but initially got very offended to be honest , changed towards good side and tonka makes nice during the last phase . Thanks for review and letting us know about this beauty.
Brilliant news Tanmoy, I am delighted you actually like it, how long does it last ?
AC sir it is lasting around 5 hour prominently on skin and projecting strong for first hour and then 1 hour moderately then very soft leaning towards skin scent , but my favourite is the 2nd hour 😊
Greeting and another great review AC. Since trying vintage Dior Eau Sauvage, Extreme and other classic frags like Habit Rouge my fragrance journey has changed trajectory to favor vintage juice. Will try Paco Rabanne Pour Homme to see what an animalic honey tinged old-school fougere smells like, especially since already planning to try vintage Dior Jules and others. I may even try Anteaus. The vintage bottles are out there, often for reasonable prices, so why not. Should try modern releases, such as YSL Y (heart sage) and Coach for Men Platinum, too, but recent releases, particularly D&G Light Blue Intense, have disappointed. Cheers
I am absolutely delighted to hear that you are also thinking of giving vintage masculins a try, they are such gems that every serious connoisseur should give it a try.
PCPH Vintage should impress you, and I find it one of a kind.
Thanks for the tip on D&G LBI, as I was planning on blind buying it. I quite like Coach Platinum and will review it soon :)
Great video. Thank you!
pleasure! glad you enjoyed :)
I've just bought VINTAGE Herrera For Men by Carolina Herrera, I have heard that it is another great tobacco scent destroyed by reformulation. I'm very curious the difference, as I have the current one. BTW, it is creation by Carlos Benaim. Another great review AC. Thank You.
Thank you Jakub, I haven't tried it as yet ( either) but I will keep my eye out for it.
@@ACSmellsGood AC bro I can send you a decant if you'd like
very kind of you bud, and much appreciated :).

Hello greetings from Mexico
Hello Jose very nice to hear from you :) Mexico is beautiful man ! I would love to visit it :)
by the way, the note breakdown is Lavender and Sage in the top, leather, clove, tobacco, geranium and nutmeg in the heart, and in the base notes we have honey, musk, oakmoss, amber and rosewood? Am i missing something?
Enjoyment ; )
@@ACSmellsGood Hehe. I will try to replicate with essential oils this fragrance, maybe with some less ingredients, i am not very sure of how to construct leather, could be done with resins, smoke, woods, et cetera, the spices are not very difficult to find, the musk i can get is probably not animalic since the tobacco note my essence dealer offers is rather clean and soapy, pretty much as musk is (I could try to get a kind of ammonia note and blend it together with the white musk and get some kind of more animalic effect, depending on how much i do add of this ammonia smell could replicate more or less an animalic smell) and i don't know if i could get the brazilian rosewood... Still i will try. Greetings sir!
Helo Ac, greetings from Indonesia. Great review on Paco rabanne pour homme. Ive recently adding my collection with Paco rabbane pour homme, vintage edition, same as the one in your review video but with vaporisateur head. Very well blended juice!
But Any thoughts on the Paco rabanne pour homme eau? The one with the lighter colored juice, and had "eau" written on the front. So far, I found only one review on CZcams, it would be very nice to hear your profound review on this underradar perfume.
Joy amin sdh review yg vintage juice nya kuning,,,
@@yislambisyir2106 the Paco rabanne "eau" pour homme? Okay i'll check it out on joy's review then.. While the "eau" version is the flanker from original Paco rabanne pour homme, It definitely deserve its own review imho. Many thanks..
Di capital parfumery ada jual gan, enak kah ini?
I am 19 y/o and i got a couple clones of this fragrance, i love it. Excellent vid!
I think you have very good taste Javier :)
@@ACSmellsGood Thank you! Great perfume. Greetings from Mexico.
@@javierdiazsantana Hey, which clones do you have?
I had Perfumes Europeos (Dupe brand in Mexico with generic bottles) and Fraiche, the first was the closest
Hello my friend. I would like to buy vintage Paco Rabanne Pour Homme but probably I don't have a courage...I am scared. There are many fake things on Ebay. I don't know who is the real seller. I have current formulation of Paco Rabanne Pour Homme and it is very harsh at opening. I fill alcohol blast in my face with 4 sprays. And it smells like a soap. Detergent. Okay a little. I am curious about the real oakmoss. I I find a real seller I would go with Quorum and Paco Rabanne vintage.
Thank you for helping me.
Cheers
Just purchased the latest version, drain cleaner, absolutely unwearable chemical.
Oh dear! sorry to hear that.
@@ACSmellsGood Ha Ha, no worries AC, I'll stick with Azzaro ph.
