Hard to go single digit on a chart like this with such exclusive achievements. Me, I'm excited if I finish one. I'd print out the chart and get it framed if I got two digits.
I got aa pretty low score today because of Jimmy and Jake doing sporcles with old Yankees pitchers. Got me Lefty Gomez and Jack Chesbro. 4 yesterday using some of my favorite baseball reference pages to look at in Gavvy Cravath, John Sullivan, and Jack Quinn.
Hah, go figure about being shouted out. I had no idea! And yeah, that's me.
Two tips for low rarity: Imagine a player's career in reverse, it helps a lot. Also: Remember significant trades and lesser pieces within those trades, for lot of sub-1%. They count all the same as the major guys but you just saved yourself extra thought.
Never enter the first name that pops into your head. Also think of journeyman relievers and bench bats/platoon guys. People usually forget about those guys on the grid. That's how I got 6 on the Sunday 7/23 grid (the one where all 9 boxes were 2 teams) and I immediately screenshot it.
knowledge of 70's and 80's baseball cards is what earns me the single digits. super fun to wake up to every morning.
Plouffe's Pat Light pull was insane. I remember watching him pitch in Portland & Pawtucket when he was in the Sox system.
I guarantee you the percentage on that pick was as high as 2% because of all of the Section 10/Name Redacted listeners lol
