These MVP baseball games were on a totally different level. During 2020 I fired up my old PS2 to enjoy some nostalgia and was blown away by how much more dynamic and life-like the game was! I’d trade graphics for gameplay any day of the week. Pumped to see you guys playing this.
Highly recommend if you have a PC to emulate the game so you have enhanced graphics AND the amazing mechanics

The pure nostalgia I have for this game. Many sleepovers spent passing a game cube controller between my friends as we go through franchise mode or doing these batting challenges.

I bet I put in 50+ hours on this game mode alone when I was younger. My dad would even play it with me every once in a while. Definitely some nostalgia here. I always hit with Pujols and made the pitcher use one of the classic, funky windups

To Jimmy's point about picturing Posada in an away jersey. Posada played 892 home games of which he started 809. He played 937 away games of which he started 833. So he played a good few more games on the road so you were more likely to see him in the away jersey
I'd do this mini game as a warm up before franchise mode and my plate discipline was still got awful and id end up with singles up the middle lol these mini games were so fun as were the one in The Bigs games/ Bring them back!

I really loved MVP baseball more than other baseball games of the day. No idea if they would have maintained quality but I was annoyed by the exclusive rights agreement MLB signed with Sony at the time.

I like MVP Baseball series but its definitely overrated. I always preferred its MVP NCAA Baseball series and 2K baseball.
