- In this video I will show you how to make this box-style handbag - # 3 in the series. This style is great because it is roomy inside and will stand up on it's own due to the shape. You can wear it with a long strap or carry it with a short strap depending on your mood or occasion. This video is for the bag only. Strap videos below: 👇

Lily, thats so so beautiful! You are making things thats such a pleasure to watch❤❤❤
Tell me please how or where can I buy such board for macrame?
Thank you so much! I make my own boards with a canvas frame, upholstery fabric and padding. I have a video that shows how to do it here ➡️ czcams.com/video/sClD5Z17WUw/video.html I have also made one by covering a cork board 🥰
Lovely!❤
However I did not understand the 150cms mark because all the cord lengths are different. Would it be 150 cms from the shortest length?
It would be great if you can show it in your future videos. 🙏
The pattern starts at the 150cm mark. So all the cords are different lengths but each cord starts at 150cm (in the correct order). Then at the end of the pattern the remaining cord should be about 150cm so that both sides have 150cm left for the remainder of the bag.
I hope that makes sense and doesn't sound more confusing 🙏🤞
So cute, what size is the bag? A few questions please: If I want to make it in 3mm braided rope, how can I adapt the lengths? At 30 minutes, you have added ropes, do you do this for all subsequent rows or only once? THANKS !
Thank you so much. The bag is about 15cm tall, 23cm wide and 10cm deep (at the widest point).
The 80cm cord added to the side panel (at 30 minutes) is done only one time.
To convert from 4mm to 3mm I would keep the length the same but add 2 extra 430cm cords to the first pattern. So the pattern would be 8 cords instead of 6 and use 4 filler cords instead of 2 for the square knots in the centre of the pattern.
I would also add one extra 320cm cord on each side in the last loop in the arch. So 2 instead of 1.
These changes will add 2 extra square knots to the width which should keep the same dimensions. Then do 2 or 4 extra rows.
I hope that helps. Thanks for watching and please let me know how it turns out 😊
@@macramewithlilly Many thanks !!!
@@macramewithlilly and how long should be the first pattern before adding cords ?
@@manasloute71 I would still do the 9 x patterns as with the 4mm cord
@@macramewithlilly - I actually had the same question since I also have 3mm cord. Thank you for your detailed explanation. This bag grabbed me, after searching through so many videos.... I have to try it, thank you!
