    a. Noticing - People think they lack motivation, when in fact they lack clarity.
    b. Wanting - Environment plays a role. Create environment for you to succeed in your goal.
    c. Doing - Optimize for the start line, not finish line.
    d. Liking what you do - We repeat behaviors, because we like them.

I am totally transformed by remaining consistent and understanding the 1% rule. Even though you can’t see it happening daily I would normally lose motivation. Just never give up. I live a life based on the movie Groundhog Day. Every day is not a, "new day," but rather an opportunity to do my day over again. This is the day that the Lord has made. Not yesterday, or tomorrow. In God's economy of time, there is now, and there is not-now. Now is all that matters, and today is the only day that truly exists in REALITY.
So, I have not prayed every morning for... (time length)
    but rather...
    I prayed this morning.

This theory has been discussed in Bhagwad Geeta A Hindu holy book as "Law of KARMA" where lord Krishna says to Arjuna ( who was indecisive regarding participating in the war against evil as many members of his own family were there in evil group). Krishna says a Mantra "Karmaney wadhikaraste ma faleshu Kadachna..... which says focus on your "karma" means your duty not on the "fal"- the fruits.....which may follow automatically n those are not in the domain of your rights. Such an amazing theory! relevant even today n described in the book "The Atomic habbits" by this author so well.

I like how he approaches motivation. We often think we need to wait until we're "motivated enough" to move forward in a positive direction. Or wait until fear about taking action dissipates. In reality, doing anything that nudges us in the right direction--no matter how small the act or step--is a way to nurture the growth of more motivation and gain more courage. 5:05 is an awesome quote: "The actions that you take provide evidence for who you are." It's another way of saying the old truth "actions speak louder than words".

"If you can change your habits you can change your life". But if you are really struggling to change your habits, don't despair - you are not broken, and I know things can get better. I don't know your situation, but mine was that I needed safe connection (for me it was therapy, though it could be anyone, even pets) to start to discover who I am and to break out of the cycle of anxiety and low self-esteem from years of playing the golden-child role. For so long I thought I was broken, because no matter how hard I pushed I couldn't even do two minutes of a habit I wanted, but now that I'm more healed I've returned to habits. I make my bed every morning. I tidy up before bed. Small habits, but I'm just getting started again.
