my ps4 got stolen when i was moving houses and since then i've been in a stage where i just havent been happy because i had so many good memories on it. i recently placed a pre order for a ps5 and i was nervous i would lose all my games and all that until i found out you could just download them off the ps store. thank you for giving me a peace of mind :)
What about the saved data on those games though? Like I fully understand that if I have God of war and sims 4, that I can easily transfer the games over to the ps5. However, what I haven’t found out yet is, will my saves from those games transfer over as well?
I’ll get the games but will I still have all my sims and all my saves?

I’m getting a ps5 this week so this video was a great help. I appreciate it. So I’m guessing when I transfer my games and data from my ps4 to ps5, no matter which way I do it, that those games won’t be on the ps4 anymore. That’s rough because I wanted to pass my ps4 down to my kids.

Thanks for answering my question i had . If the extended hdd can be swopped between the two devices. That will help a hell of a lot. Just plug my ps4 one into my new ps5 and bham . Copy to ps5. Happy noises to be made.

Hi I have the same set up as you for my ps5. Its horizontal and in a stand like that one. Wife does not like it though she wants it underneath the stand. but the thing is its less airflow.

I have a question. Can you use say a 4 port USB hub extender on a PS5 to say connect both your external SSD & a USB drive?? I used a 4 port as a primary example because now days you don't see anything less than a 3 or 4 port hub extender.

Most of my physical games are on my 2 TB external hard drive just like my digital games. Once I pop in the disc of the game into the PS5 do I need to transfer the game from the PS4 to the PS5? Or just put in the disc & make sure my external hard drive is connected to the PS5?
