Yes! Almost 5 hours of jeff grunting! On a serious note this comes in great time as I'm in the middle of doing major work building a whole new bathroom
Cheers Jason!
Now this is a fu**in DIY/tutorial video!
It always amazes me how much knowledge and details goes into one single aspect of building or renovation.
Glad it was helpful!
Jeff is just great, no one else presents this material in such a great way. Mostly I just need the confidence to jump in, the pep talks about being able to do this myself definitely help.
You’ve been my savior in my home Reno these last couple years. So informative and helpful. Thanks for all you do.
I was being lazy and am building a pantry area in my kitchen. Was about to pay someone to do my backsplash and then watched your video and saw how easy it was (easy that you made it look lol). Went out that same day and had it in in a couple hours.
awesome! Cheers!

I’ve been following you for over a year and you always come up with useful information for me. Thanks for the new video !
Awesome, thank you!
would love more content on brick constructed houses, living in thailand a lot of these videos have helped me slowly bring my house up to western standards. Thank you so much
Thanks for that I will be looking into that for next year! Cheers!
It’s like watching the Blues Brothers. Totally right and often zany. But with money in the bank at the end of the screening. Thanks Jeff and the team!
Cheers to that!
@@HomeRenoVisionDIY Hey, its a Church. The Penguin would approve.
Before I even watch the video. Thank you for the length. I appreciate all you put up but your long videos I love the most. Cheers

I started following you after researching a few questions on a DIY… I love your tips and tricks of carpentry and you make it look so easy! Thank you keep them coming
What a massive video. Thought it was wrapping up after about 1:40:00 or so. But apparently not even 1/3 through the videos.
The quality on these videos are absolutely stellar!
I can't believe I watch the whole vid. very educational.
I may save this for later since I already watched the individual videos. Love binge watching his how to do videos 😄.
Love this! Thanks for sharing your all your years of experience.❤️❤️❤️
Thx Jeff. I'm a serious student.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and all of those valuable Pro Tips.👍
Our home came with a fiberglass shower pan in our third guest room bathroom. It would always make a crunching ,grinding sound when you stood on it while showering. When we pulled it up we noticed it had the same sand mix your using in this video. We wound up installing a porcelain and steel shower pan and now it's totally silent. We've lived in houses that had fiberglass tubs and or shower pans and they always made crinkling sounds! Yes porcelain and steel is more money but it's sooooooo worth it for your own sanity! Anyways ,just wanted to give my own findings on fiberglass or plastic tubs and shower pans. 🙂
great video ...i really enjoy these long videos alot of great infomation thanks for sharing...
This is a fun video! I don't DIY these things but love to learn
When you said pinch clamps fail my heart sank after looking at all of the pex I just ran today with clamps..
I love the A to Z videos
Cheers Caleb!
I was screaming at my phone when you said you were gonna put a shark bite in there… 😅
thank you for considering us tall people
easier to use a scrap pigtail for the ground wire to the receptacle, advice from my electrician.
Hey Jeff, thanks for all the great vids you do! I'm having an old tub replaced with a standup shower and am using an acrylic shower base, the ones that have the same dimensions as standard tub (32" x 60"). Would you use the same method to install a rectangular shower base like I have as the one you're showing for your corner shower base? Thanks!
i watch you build and it looks so simple and nice ;) in europe everything is brick build, i think we over do it ;)
I’d love to know what pattern/manufacturer of the vinyl floor being used is.
Thanks for the video!! Quick question, what video are referring to on minute 1:30?
Jeff, you forgot to show the deburring of the cut in place on the drain pipe in the shower pan....... But, as always extremely informative!
is it possible to change the last part of the vent with the tube which you installed from the outside ? or is it tied to the internal one ?
Thanks for all the useful tips. I’m finishing up my bathroom remodel but can’t find any good towel holders and accessories, any recommendations? Thanks!
Thanks!!
Hi, I was open to get any tips you have for removing shower fixture with a rusted embedded nail. 😩
Your videos are GREAT because you are such a kind and patient and honest and generous TEACHER! Thank you for sharing your experience and expertise with us. PLUS, I bet you're a great soccer player, too! (See 3:30:14)
Sir, what's your opinion about tankless water heaters??
Where did you get your long Phillips bit?
Did my bathroom for 2349$ right from the studs and holes in the floor. I think it looks better Than you're bathroom. Feeling accomplished.
We did a tube, tiled the hole area and seling of the bathing area And floor. Buying Uesd vanity, painted it. And picked up a toilet off the sid of the road. It was a very good experience. Took 8months to figure it out on the weekends.
well done. Don't forget you also raised the value of your house by around $10,000
@@HomeRenoVisionDIY I'm trying to have a extreme budget. But I can't be having problems. The goal is occupancy as well.
This house was absolutely trashed (cat pee) everything had to go nuthing cold be saved. Took almost everything back to the studs because of the pee was saturated 4' up the walls in most places. This is a Dubl wide manufacturer house ,Cheap construction.
Windows and doors are hard to get ahold of.
Haveing some issues but I believe I'll be OK with out having to make more work for myself. I don't want to be replacing the Siding. It's too ezy to open up a can of worms. Salvaging anything worth saving.
I have money but it's all in the market lol.
I figured a nuther $10,000 would get the nonexistent kitchen back, and a nuther bathroom, bedroom and living room to do. I have 4 rooms practically finished. Basically I need widows and trim yet.
That's my story.
If I want to use larger size tiles (other than mosaic) for a shower floor, what are the tiles characteristics to request from supplier. I don't think I can use wall tiles for floor tiling.
1:07:10 I've used a laser level to plot lines in situations like this.
I still don't understand why you had to use a saniflo pump for the shower drain as it's next to the toilet that is connected to a drain field for its drain. Why couldn't you just hook the shower drain to the toilet drain pipe that goes to the drain field??? I have to be missing some point or fact. Anyways just curious and confused. Lol!
Hey you got like a 2min Cliff Noted video to watch?
You say it's the most affordable bathroom you've worked on in the title. Forgive me for not watching the entire 4 hours, but did you ever mention the total cost of this project?
$1600.00 Cheers!
My tub has pooling tree inches from drain in center of the tub .It is a fiberglass tub. I say plastic. I was told it was fiberglass. Can I fix this without replacing 【×_______】?
I'd like to see from teardown..
does home depot sell the claymores to keep people away?
Loving it!
what if your bathroom floor is ceramic tile and you want to change out toilet and keep the tile in place?
As long as the new toilet base is larger than the original or the tile was I stalled under the toilet it should be just a straight replacement
How did you deal with the electrical outlet where the pan was going to be installed?
That's a good question. It looks like he kept it there
I simply removed the plug and capped it for future consideration
👍👍
I bo7ght a house and they had the same shyte in the kitchen. They also had a second level it's a damn mess!!!
Plus the cost of tools, so really like 8k vs 2k
Cheers dan however I used basic tools every homeowner should have. total tool investment was around $1000.00 on this one.
@@HomeRenoVisionDIYcould you please give all tools name! You are great! You are my virtual respected teacher
14:10 You want it level most of all so that you feel like a super-man and sleep well instead of performing a seppuku.
❤👍🏼
Pls HELP‼ I'm redoing my bathroom, removing the walls and starting from scratch. I hired a contractor, pro. The shower is with tiles 12by24. Dry walls and tiles are done but the tiles are all crooked, uneven. The contractor says it's because of crooked structure. He just followed with the dry wall. Well, if so, are PRO supposed to see and anticipate these problems and worn about it⁉️QUESTION- was it possible to do even tiles with the new dry walls in place⁉️ it was an investment and its ruined...😔😔😔😔
Jeff do you work in NY?
No, he's Canadian
@@DanielDickin ok thanks
Well, we just got a $14k quote to replace our small walk-in with another just a few inches longer and wider with standard center drain, nothing special. Clear glass as is common now, no tile at all. $14k. Yeah..no.
dude u seem like u know what ur doing why do u not have a hand held razer scraper. theyre like 4" and 6" wide.
I really enjoy watching your videos but with a 31% increase subscription cost for CZcams I’m afraid I’m going to have to leave the channel. I could have tolerated a $1 or $2 increase but this is insane.
My dear Lord, Jeff. Here I was thinking EU building regulations are insane and stupid. What's up with all the vents? We don't have vents here. I feel deeply for you North Americans.
Great video, nevertheless.
Anyone? HAH... even a baby?
