    Your pressure advance K value can change depending on filament type AND temperature. Just something to keep in mind. The K value you determine is specifically for THAT filament at THAT temperature.

    Great video, thanks! I use a cheap usb microscope for examining the results. Very revealing for stuff like this.

      I find the line test is the better of the 3. easier to read and less difficult to decide what's good and what's not

      @@thebrelon I like either of the line based tests. My easier and quicker than the tower.

    Can I provide you with some constructive criticism? I highly highly highly suggest you find a way to improve the visual quality of your video(s). I've only watched this video. I don't know about the rest. I have it set to the highest quality (1080p), but the picture quality is very fuzzy and looks like a video from 90's. I think it's especially important with 3D printing videos, so we can see important details. I don't know if it's your camera equipment or settings or what... The audio quality as well seems quite low.
    Thanks!

    • @minimal3dp
      @minimal3dp  Před 22 dny +1

      Your criticism is welcome and warranted. I really appreciate your feedback.
      Unfortunately, both my video and audio are what I can afford at the moment. I am trying to save for better equipment, but it is slow going. I typically need to buy items to do videos about and save, so it's not super fast for me.
      I am going to try to sell a printer to generate some capital to invest.
      I have also discovered that my hearing is not great, leading to some quality issues that I am not detecting. A friend has offered to assist me, and I scheduled a hearing appt later this month.

    Question: does your spreadsheet accommodate other firmware types, like Marlin and stuff?

    • @minimal3dp
      @minimal3dp  Před 19 dny

      No itsoes not. It is designed for Klipper. Take a look at the TeachingTech calibration site. It is ideal for marlin.

    Hey i just found a neat trick print the PA line test then look at it with the lines running left to right but at about 10 to 30 degrees to the build plate it real help tell when the lines go from bad to worst then put you finger about half way between

    like you said the line and pattern method seem the best to get a definitive result, like Ellis states one you have an idea for a range you can reprint a range from .02 to .04 in .001 intervals if you like ..

    Need turn off acceleration? (Klipper document say this) In slicer ...or need put codes to console before PA? (Klipper document says this)

    • @minimal3dp

      I turn it on in the slicer and don't put it in my klipper printer.cfg.

    Didn'y you do it wrong though? You have to do each test with pressure advance turned off??

      I thought I did disable via the config. I will check.

    • @minimal3dp
      @minimal3dp  Před 2 měsíci

      It will. You.want both set to your preferred values before you start the PA tests.

    You would think that once you had completed and entered in your manual calibration results that the auto calibration would centre around this new value, but NO! it continues to use the three values it always has to test the flow!

    • @minimal3dp
      @minimal3dp  Před 2 měsíci

      I believe most of the test use "standard" values.
