- PIE, CHIPS and GRAVY in TENERIFE LEFT ME SPEECHLESS at The Sun Inn, Costa Adeje. It is not often I am speechless but after tasting these pies - Just Wow!. A flavour sensation in flavour town. I cannot remember the last time I tasted pie chips and gravy this good.
In the heart of the South of Tenerife, The Sun Inn have an extensive menu with dishes from burgers, fish & chips, Pasta, Salads and Sunday roasts.
The steak and minced beef & onion pies were an absolute treat. Homemade on the premises. Not forgetting the efficient staff who cannot do enough for you to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Omg Darren that looks amazing. Packed full of meat and not overcooked. As I’ve said on another vlog a proper pie is pastry top and bottom and as it’s cooked whole it is very difficult to warm it back through in the oven without overcooking it. The best one I’ve tasted is in a little pub in Llandudno. Great little place that deserves your promotion. Enjoy the rest of your holiday you are looking well.

When we stayed at Sunset Bay, we used the sun Inn all the time, run by a family and the food was all homemade. Yum yum. Couldn't get a table some nights.

Those pies with either roasties or mash swimming in gravy would be better for me. I never understand the appeal of chips with gravy, but if we all liked the same thing life would be boring. Good work Darren.

Last time I was in Tenerife was 1999, Oct/Nov staying over the road form the Sun Inn at the Orlando Apartments, we had breakfast every morning in there, and I also remember one evening while having a meal my young 1 year old son was bouncing on my knee and we broke one of the chairs, oh the memories.
We are coming over in July for 2 weeks but staying in Los Cristianos this time, I can't wait, great video thanks for helping me reminisce

When I was a kid in the mid 70's we went to Spain 2-3 times a year, as a family. It was back in the day when you could get authentic Spanish cuisine readily in a hotel. My grandad always said, 'there's a big bullfight on today, it'll be steak tomorrow for dinner'. The old boy was right 9 times out of. Don't like those kind of bars, give me a tapas bar every time, but if you liked it that's what counts. Thanks for the vlog.

What a great place extensive menu the food looks superb the gravy rich and thick.

Wow! Those meat pies are to die for. This used to be one of my favs as my mother used to bake her own. Minced beef and onion with shortcrust pastry, homemade chips, peas and lashings of gravy that’s how my mother used to do it. That food was “off the charts” and amazing and as for Fanta Lemon Shandy, how refreshing and game changing especially when it’s stinking hot weather. Great vlog DJ👌incidentally nice instrumental music perfect for this video👌

I'm very familiar with the area Darren. We always holidayed in the Adeje area. I agree the Sun Inn serves amazing food. We were probably there as a family the same time as you and yours. The bars on the strip have changed since we've been except the Sun Inn. Great trip down memory lane. Fantastic video. 👍👍

I remember going to the Beehive in the late 80's/early 90's when I was a kid and my parents had a timeshare apartment in Sunset Bay when they where all the rage.
Revisited Adeje in 2018 & 2019 with my kids and was pleased to see the pub still going, I need to get back to Tenerife soon I love the place it literally has something for everyone.

We go to sunn inn every time we are in Tenerife. We love it. Good food lovely staff who never forget you. We were there most nights between 12th June to 26th June x

Hey DJ! You honestly should be a guide wether it be London or Tenerife as you are so knowledgeable and come across so well to others on where to go. I love how great your channel is and how it is growing. Every time you post something it gets better and better. Your filming and editing is second to none along with Lee too. He’s a walking talking edit machine in the nicest possible way.
As to the food if it’s something and a place you love why not go back. I thought Harriet’s was a favourite of yours but this is just as great. What a selection on the menu. I’d go for have to try the chicken pie and mushy peas if could get them. Still both pies are fantastic, crammed full of meat and can’t beat home made chips. Ooh thick gravy too. The bees 🐝 knees 😋😋😋yum

Pretty sure i visited this place nearly 20 years ago and had a giant yorkshire pudding filled with mash , topped with steak and gravy. Only remember as it was one of the best meals i've ever had. Thanks for the video as i forgot what it was called and the location, i will visit next time i go.

Don't now why I torture myself watching these! Lived in southern California for past 30 years and once in a while get a really good English meal, usually from a Brit Pub but just when they get good, new staff show up and the quality drops! Have to admit that meal looks mouthwatering, oh well dream on!

I love a bit of pie and chips - as a Mancunian by birth I was brought up on this - every chippy does pies of various types ( my preference are Holland's of Baxenden ) with chips and mushy peas - a great tea and gorgeous smothered in chippy gravy on the way home from the pub
