    Purchased my Eastonmade 22-28 in September. It is a amazing machine. Extremely productive and crazy powerful. Built like a tank. Just a great machine. Andrew is a great guy, absolute professional.

    I have been impressed watching Mike and Mellisa Morgan splitting with their Wolf Ridge splitter ( I still am impressed ) That unit is a fast heavy duty piece of equipment. Your EastonMade unit is truly a commercial "BATTLESHIP". The fluid tank volume with filtering alone says this unit is meant to run continuous long term. The size of the ram is bigger than anything I have seen elsewhere. Mike's unit might be a little faster and easier to change the wedge but they are both great looking pieces of equipment. Thanks always for interesting / informative videos Take care

      Thanks Andrew! This splitter is awesome! Already split enough to fill my wood shed and then some! Gonna have some footage of those big oak rounds soon too!

      @@WilliamsonRidge I t definitely is I'm like you went from a old craftsman splitter to it and thought that I had a bunch of rounds ready for it but about five hours later everything that I had cut is split so now cutting more in the hour or so of daylight after work

    Very nice. Thanks for the videos. How did you decide which wedge to get? Thanks for the videos.

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Před 4 lety

      Thanks! I went with the four way mainly because I leave the wood pretty big because we have an outside boiler so I can run most stuff through one time and it makes 4 nice large pieces, just split down enough to be able to handle them, but still big enough to not just burn up. Thinking about selling some to so EastonMade hooked me up with a six way wedge also to get it down to more campfirewood size too, so stay tuned!

    A lot of thought went into the design of that splitter. There is very little room for improvement.

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Před 4 lety

      For sure! And the things I would improve they offer on other models like the auto cycle

    You said the county line you said split 3/4 of a cord with a single wedge that's not bad

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Před 4 lety +1

      matt fogarty the county line does a good job for the money and it gets the job done it’s a good splitter especially if you split smaller rounds but when you get into the big stuff the Easton made with the lift really makes lifting a 300 pound round simple

    • @mattfogarty8144
      @mattfogarty8144 Před 4 lety

      It does make lifting a big log simple but that's why they made the countyline vertical and horizontal for the big logs you put it vertical and roll them to the splitter and split them

    👍🤠

  • @mattfogarty8144
    @mattfogarty8144 Před 4 lety +1

    Please do me a favor do an hour split with this then measure how much it splits then do an hour with the county line with a 4way for an hour because I don't think its gonna do much more than a county line with a 4way wedge

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Před 4 lety +1

      A 1 hour split is in progress with the EastonMade. A 4 way wedge does not work properly on the county line. The cycle time makes a big difference alone the EastonMade has a 7 second and the county line is 11.2 the ton rating on the county line is 25 and EastonMade is 24 but the EastonMade splits big oak rounds a lot easier

    • @mattfogarty8144
      @mattfogarty8144 Před 4 lety

      And you have to figure one thing with cycle times that is from the wedge being fully retracted to fully extended if I use the countyline I try not to let it go all the way back in so really its about the same cycle time if you do that when you split see people dont take this stuff into consideration when they buy a woodsplitter they only see the black and white lol

      @ryanwebb9099 Před 4 lety

      Can do 2-3 cords an hour with eastonmade. With my swisher and 4 way, I can do 1-1.25 cord if I bust ass. Plus I have to lift it up and can’t lift big pieces.

  • @kenjohnson6603

    That 8 inch "I" beam is actually a "H" beam

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Před 4 lety +2

      Lol, I guess depending which way it’s turned!

    • @kenjohnson6603
      @kenjohnson6603 Před 4 lety

      It does not matter how you turn it. An "I" beam is an "I" beam and an "H" beam is an "H" beam. They are totally different. That beam on that splitter is an H beam. Check with the manufacture if you do not believe me.

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Před 4 lety +2

      I did check and the product catalog says it’s an 8 inch “I” beam

    • @kenjohnson6603
      @kenjohnson6603 Před 4 lety

      I received this e-mail from Eastonmade splitters: Eastonmade Wood Splitters Yes you are correct it is an h beam

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Před 4 lety

      I’ve been going by the info I have in their catalog and even in their video they say I beam. Check out this video, czcams.com/video/KphAhsjdEYY/video.html
      Maybe he just said it wrong, I will call Andrew and ask him because I do want my videos to be accurate and will revise it to make it correct after I call him
