- In this video we take a look at HG Wells timeless classic ‘The War of the Worlds'. The influences upon it, and how it has influenced and inspired generations of storytellers who have adapted it to suit their own time and place in history.
This was really fun to watch, I like how deep you delved into it.

That was amazing. 'The War of the Worlds' is one of my favorite books and has a lot more nuance than most sci-fi that has come since.
Including the mark IV tank (Similar to the Martian tripods) they have armor and weapons and A crew
Tripod only needs an Operator,
The tank needs the Driver, Gunner, Commander, Loader and radio operator.

This is an interesting video. As a big fan of the book, the Martians were portrayed as a metaphor for the evil upon mankind and over-relying advanced technology, just like the most terrifying about the human race is that we overestimated superweapons, such as bioweapons, chemical weapons, heavy weapons, explosives, vehicles and worse, nuclear weapons. If we avoid using these weapons of mass destruction and connect with the laws of nature, then this is our high chance of survival, but if you choose to over-rely on them and underestimated the power of nature, then we are the Martians.
However, just a question, what if not all Martians are as evil and arrogant as the invaders from the book, where some are civilized enough to stay in their primitive state in order to survive while ignoring habitable planets (or send probes to study alien life) and prefer uninhabited planets, like Mars (which in my headcanon were a landing base) or Venus, with no deadly microbes?

Steven Spielberg's War of the worlds was rubbish. I wanted the martians to kill Tom Cruise's character, because I despise Tom Cruise. He is an idiot who jumped up & down on a sofa & I find his acting wooden at best, especially Interview with a vampire.
The two best adaptations are Orson Welles radio play and Jeff Wayne's concept album.
This could very well be humanity 30000 years form now invading alien planets
