For the rear door, cut the handle to clear, and drill a hole in whats left. Then add a pull cord.

You need to add a drop indicator and mighty mag to the side of your tube roller... it will help you duplicate the radius, tube to tube.

You were comparing inside radius to outside radius. Should lay it on top of the first one. Also, just put a little heat to the inside of the bend to take out some of the bend.
tip for making 2 matching curves...make one piece twice the length with the curve then cut in the middle

When you want multiple identical bends run all tubes through the bender then make an adjustment and run through again then adjust and run in that method until you achieve the desired bend.
Reminds me of Ian building the curvy buggy.

I have the same SWAG/HF tube roller. I put a foot pedal on mine so I could keep things straight and use both hands. Plus you can tap your toe and the run on is less of a pain. I have made several railings for boats. Big thing is go slow….multiple small pressure changes from the jack is the best.
I did end up getting a foot pedal, that was nice!

I'm a certfied CZcams Mechanic also. CZcams has made college pointless. Trade schools are still great but for the cheap skates CZcams is the college lol.

The best part is you can easily find the skills your looking for on the tube and actually see real world examples from beginning to end!!! And I’ve learnt a ton on here! Especially on Bleepin Jeep!!
It's so nice to have CZcams around. Being an early 80s baby there were many times that I went to the junk yard, not for the parts but so I could figure out an issue. Either how in the heck to get something apart without breaking things, to see what really has to come off to change it, or even just to see what something g is supposed to look like.
It was sometimes fun ripping off that part that I couldn't get off without breaking. That had at this point stumped me good enough to go to pick a part. But I don't miss it.
I installed a sye using Matt's guide from several years ago. His guide was the best by far.

Great video! I have a couple of questions, tho. Are you going to go pick up the Corvair parts for Matt? Did you move the roll bar so that the back seat passenger can open the door from the inside? Did you eat the cauliflower or just tell a joke to get your wife laughing and not paying attention to the fact that you didn't eat the cauliflower? LOL I liked your joke, too!
If he makes a deal and needs me to ya I'll go pick em up. No but a commenter above had a great idea for opening the door handle as is. Can't remember about the cauliflower but I do remember the dogs were happy that day.

When trying to match bends, you should always do each step of the at the same time for both tubes

I learned to bend with a man powered bender it was fast and easy.. mistakes were made .. but some of the worst mistakes became useful somehow somewhere.. I'd allways go to the mistake pile befor a bent new pipe. There I would find reminders of mistakes and mistakes that became routine bends .. cant wait to get back at it .. I bought the old tube knotcher thingamagic .. it was all that was left at the old race car garage .. but I allso found a new square tube frame for a race car that never was used.. I'll use it to build my Devin special.. all I need it time money and a good bender ..

I have unfortunately had the undesirable accident happen where I was straddling what I was cutting at floor level and had a cheapo cut off disc leave the chat and make direct contact with the jewels at mach death speed. I literally had to check for blood, thankfully there wasn't any. But the pain from that didn't fully subside for several weeks...

I hated the cutting wheel guards but put mine back on after a rancher in our area had a wheel fail and it hit him in the neck and he bled to death in his shop.

we have thought about that but didnt want to spend time on anything else outside of progress on the build, maybe now when its done we can come up with something

7:25 - yellow zinc plating is Chromium 6, the Erin Brokowich stuff. If you check the Yellin Australian Car expert video on how to die welding - you did the No1 case - with the most poisonus variant of zinc plating
Man, I just love what you are doing, would love to see more - please clean zinc of or ware a carbon filter breather while welding it.

Hexavalent chromate (Chromium 6) conversion coatings are the really dangerous ones. There are trivalent conversion coatings now that are safer and RoHS compliant. Considering where HF makes their stuff there is no telling what it actually is, but I would expect the worst.
Chromate conversion coatings are put over zinc plating as a way to passivate the zinc layer, or make it nonreactive. Zinc will readily oxidize and sacrifice itself when plated to steel. This is what makes it desirable. To make the zinc last longer it is passivated with a conversion coating.
Zinc fume poisoning is separate from the dangers of hexavalent chromate conversion coatings. You can get zinc fume poisoning just from welding galvanized steel.
Both are a problem here are you pointed out. Sadly, I don't think these issues are part of the common knowledge in the US as much as in Australia or Europe.

They are rzr headlight but upside down so not great so far. Will need some modifications yet.
Hey guys big fan of bleepin jeep and freedom winch ropes, unfortunately I'm based in Australia and no-one here stocks your products. However I have come across a product made in Australia called bogout, this system allows you to use your vehicle's wheels and tyres as the winch in many circumstances where 2 vehicles may be required you can simply use it by yourself. I would love for you guys to test it out and tell me you're honest opinion as well as potentially designing your own version and making adjustments if you decide you can improve it. I still haven't used this product myself in fact I only just found it in the last couple of months here in Australia, but I've been using methods very similar to this MacGyvering snatched straps or tree protectors and securing them around the closest or best suited drive wheel to create your winch. 👍.

Aren't you worried about body flex at all with opening doors ? I know the roll cage will put alot of riggity into the jeep but it might flex a enough to keep door from opening
