  • Welcome to Deefer Diving's new CZcams channel, D for Diving.
Have you thought about becoming a scuba diving professional? particularly in this current environment, where job opportunities seem very limited, and the lure of travel seems great? Like many dive operations around the world, Deefer DIving are also heavily engaged in professional development training, and so we asked two of our current crop of divemaster interns to talk to you about their experience. Both learning to become a professional here in Carriacou, but also on an internship based program too.
The comments section is open, and Olivia will be managing the comments, so if you want to know anything more about the program or her experience, please leave your comments in the section below.
Deefer Diving are a full service dive operation in Carriacou, Grenada. Thanks so much John! It has been a great experience and both Jonny and I have decided to stay here and try to make a career out of diving. So happy we made this decision

Part of it was because the world is still not free to move, but also because of the great experience we're getting. Learning from the team here and diving most days. Of course getting to live on a small Caribbean island is a massive bonus too.

Very much enjoyed the video and getting the perspective of these guys. When I was their age I was a professional musician traveling in Hair Metal bands. Now I'm 58 years old and doing my DM course in the US as I work my way to Instructor. We'll be diving drysuits in the not too distant future for some of my DM classes instead of a nice 3 mil or shorty where you lucky folks are. If I had it to do over I'd probably forego the road wear of a musician and be a pro diver in the tropics. No less a difficult road but at least doing these damn 400 and 800 meter swims would be easier in a 19 yr old body. Hope to visit someday.

Hey Brad.... You did make me laugh dude! You're right though, doing these swims in the tropics in a swimsuit and at 19 really was a breeze. We just all wish things were a little bit busier from time to time....
