Hi guys. We hope you enjoyed this video. This was one of the best experiences we’ve had and we highly recommend anyone visiting Japan to check this place out. Thanks again to everyone at Iizukatei, as well as to the people we met in town for welcoming us with kindness and so much warmth.

Beautiful and peaceful setting! I think it would take more than one trip to absorb all of the fabulous local atmosphere. It is nice to see Satoshi relax and be himself. Always enjoy the beauty of Japan wherever you take us. Especially when both of you are there together.

Thank you both for this 30-minutes of happiness.

Beautiful. Loved that the accommodation is Japanese in style though very modern interior. It will appeal to Western people who are not used to sitting on the floor though they're still having a "local" experience.
Being shown around the town and the food options are extra lovely touches.
As an Australian I liked seeing Natalie there and I 100% agree with Satoshi just a little Vegemite goes a long way. Always go for less if you're unsure.

The mansion is exquisite. They have everything and the food is healthy. Also, the short clip of ceramic making actually did make me appreciate ceramics. They're beautiful!

I'll just add that I love the camera angles of the clips solely focusing on the food

SOOOO looking forward to the other videos of the town, guys! 🥰 Thanks for sharing all of this with us. I’m obsessed with “やきもの” (ceramics), too. 🍵🫖 One of my favorite places is the ひみつ (secret) mountain area of Imari/Okawachiyama in Saga-ken (my husband is a Kyushu boy. LOL!) xoxo Christine in sunny Colorado, USA 🙋🏼‍♀️♥️

Would love to stay at a place like this! And wow, it's amazing how they dipped the cup in the glaze and after firing it turned into so many different colors!

What a beauuuuutiful and relaxing hotel! I would want to visit there all the time! And the pottery was so beautiful as well. When I was little my mom took me to Hakone resort and it was the first time I experienced the fancy fish dinner (with the head still intact). Unfortunately being nine, nobody told me about this, so I started screaming. The poor staff must have thought, “Crazy foreign kid!” 🤦🏼‍♀️ If I went to this hotel, I promise not to scream at the dinner. 💖

Wonderful video- thank you so much for introducing these amazing old house lodges in rural Japan - I will be interviewing Dr.Shelley Clark on my talkshow Seek Sustainable Japan tomorrow who is also running a lodge in rural Shizuoka prefecture in a traditional house she has remodeled. So many wonderful places around Japan to enjoy the countryside areas and have these beautiful stays too
