Great work. As a result I have now purchased the Aoshima kit and the CI MGBGT supplementary kit to make a model of my 1976 Sandglow (caramel yellow) coloured rubber bumper MGBGT. This GT conversion is now available on EBay UK. It offers right or left hand drive options. In New Zealand cars are driven from the right hand side, as per the UK and Japan. I have another Aoshima kit to make up as my red 1970 MGB (chrome bumpers and wire wheels). The paint work preparation, spraying and polishing procedures on the video are a great help. Much patience is obviously needed. An excellent video.

Beautiful!! You've answered many of my questions on techniques and how to achieve the outcome I'm looking for by watching your videos. Thank you so much.

Almost finished mine. I wish I'd seen this video before I started - although I may have then been intimidated by the skill and finish of yours.
I would certainly have glued the sides and seat base to the upper body, rather than the base.
And I will be using metal foil for striping, rather than the chrome paint I used; an added problem in my build was the masking tape lifting off some of the paint whilst removing it after painting the chrome strip.
Still, we live and learn, and you have shown some great hints and tips.
    Many thanks.

MGB GT!! how gorgeous is it.
Compared with cars in other countries, I think British cars from the 60s to 70s have a special elegance...
Unfortunately,it’s not easy for me to get relevant models....cheers!!😊😊

@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING yes, I don't think a GT kit has been made sadly. If you like these British cars, see the Walkaround playlist on my channel. I have made videos at car museums here in the UK. Super details - Walkarounds - reference videos: czcams.com/play/PLKiQDI6u1XyB_6-cF4kLGjw22Rf6SyhoE.html

There must be a late model version of this kit, the ride height of the kit is set at the height MGBs made after 1974 were built at.

    • @MRLINSSCALEMODELING
      @MRLINSSCALEMODELING  Před 3 lety +1

thank you for watching!!😊this kit fits very well,
my suggestion is attaching the interior to the body ,not the chassis as the instructions indicate,by doing so will get better fit.
I think the front suspension is a little high, you can modify them like I did, but that is not necessary...
be careful with the tiny P.E badge, any way, this kit is easy and fun to build!!happy modeling!😄

Great build!! Just one thing- I may be wrong but I can't recall seeing any MGB with anything other than a black dashboard? Various colors of interior trim but always a black dash and gauge cluster. Any thoughts?

It was a common customisation especially in the USA, not a original fitment

      Hi,I use different type of glue...they are plastic cement,C.A glue,epoxy glue,clear glue....
according to different situations, when I assemble unpainted parts,I use plastic cement.for the painted parts,I usually use C.A glue or epoxy glue, for clear parts, I use C.A glue or clear glue...there are no certain rules....
you can check my another video, that will show you what type of glues I chose in different situations:
