The scene with the lady in the shop selling the magazines, I once saw some footage of a table read of that specific script and the lady playing the shopkeeper stops and asks "what's rimming?" and the whole table just breaks up. All laughing and looking at each other like "Ahh. who's going to tell her?" It was hilarious.
Brilliant!! Poor man is terrified of actually being with someone 😂
Exactly what I was thinking 🤣
Love watching your reaction 😂
David Walliams and Matt Lucas in latex.... so hilarious🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣
I don't live far away from Llanddewi Brefi, it is a tiny little village in Wales. 🤣
I’d love to visit some day 🤣🤣
Now you have met Dafydd you need to seek out his interview with Elton John - it's on YT Absolute classic. Also Rowan Atkinson interviewig EJ
👍🏾👍🏾🥳
what do you mean, what are they wearing? Its what all the gays wear!!
I went to llanddewi brefi to steal the town sign but apparently so did all the other gays, before me
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The best of Dafydd must be the one at the church parish fair.
👍🏾🥳
I’m from the uk and this comedy was great, wouldn’t get away if anything now that they show
Hilarious... lol 🤣 "The only gay in the village"... I never really got into "Little Britain" back when it came out... gotta go back and watch all episodes. You are right, this would be seen as offensive now. Thanks for this.
Great to see you in the comments. I was just thinking of messaging you on Patreon to see how you’re keeping 🥳🤩
How is this inappropriate? As a LGBTQ+ person who was one of the only gays in the village back in my hometown growing up in Norway during the 90’s and 2000’s I can’t relate. Then again different culture. Here everyone swears, even kids, and on national daytime/prime time TV. Completely normal and acceptable unless you’re Christian and conservative which most people are not🤣🤣🤣 I only like a few of the Little Britain sketches and sadly the one who plays David isn’t funny in real life. If you watch British Bake Off you’ll know. A shame.
This was when you could laugh at each other.....now you can't say anything incase you offend ....that's the very sad part
@@alisonmckie3818 I don’t care… I still offend… Not politically correct here… Lol
@@marekzee best way to be hun
As an older Irish gay man 22 years in the U.K. (and I come from a small village in Rural Ireland) most of us gay men don’t behave, act or dress like this and we are far more classy than this - thing is though, it’s very endearing that the Welsh people are so accepting of us gay people, like with the Welsh coal miners and the gays during the Miners strike during the Thatcher era during Section 28 in the U.K.
Im gay and i demand more comedy like this, its funny it makes people laugh after a hards day at work or something.
You should try watching gimme gimme gimme
Eddy are you always so cheerful!! of course it has been on TV in the UK it is all about bigotry but with a heavy does of irony !!!!!
Life is too short 🤩🤩
It was also in TV in Finland. I think lot of Finns love British humour. I Grew up watching Monty Python :D
I thought I was the only gay in the village..... but was amazed that, according to Grindr I'm only 3min away from another...... My village starts with Llan....
🤣🤣
FYI cottage (cottaging) was code for toilets where men met to hook up
Funny af :D
🤣🤣
A real shame about CZcams's copyright nusiance! Hard to see into the clip!
His whole personality is being the only gay in the village.
Lol bro 😂
Oh, for the old days...gay, lesbian and bisexual. Life was simple!
you should try League of Gentlemen :)
Please watch fat fighters usa with rosie o' donell. Is really funny
I’ll check it out, thanks 🥳
The characters are wearing very exaggerated versions of the sort of body conscious clothes many gay men wear.
The gay men I know, dress nothing like that.
@keithhooper6123 It's an exaggeration and it's not something you would see in streetwear, but in some clubs and certain circles it would not be unexpected.
The David character is more about him wanting to be the only one, and denying that’s there anyone else due to competition, and kinda romanticizing the thought that there’s only one gay in the village. Because if more gays in an area less people to get with, and you don’t want to be the one who gets the left overs. Just saying.
Leftovers are fine, so long as they haven't gone off...
You wonder what they are wearing - it’s a JOKE
No, they wouldn't be able to show it today and it's pretty sad really. The world's turned too woke 😐
and yet, you just watched it on a website (You Tube) known for being very hot on censoring content. How strange
Turned to woke nah it’s cause people are thinking about others feelings why should they suffer cause of scummy human has been brainwashed with hate scum and hate created wokeness cause we have to fight for our rights just like when women wanted to vote and be equal that was being woke and could say the same about the slave trade it’s humans getting there damn brith rights back and Britain ended the slave trade
It’s hard to do comedy that ‘the world is too woke’ crybabies understand because they seem stuck in time.
Well… stereotypes are always the easy way to get a laugh, yes? But I disagree, if there were an original over-the-top depiction of a gay character that got the laughs, they’d do it. Don’t blame the lack of talent on our modern lack of tolerance. 😊
This was plenty original when it came out. Don't pretend it's lack of talent when you're just intolerant.
@@roaroa5291If that’s your opinion, I’m happy to live with it.
Do you know what iconic actually means? Just because something made you laugh doesn't elevate it to the status of an icon. You really need to buy a dictionary.
Don't take it as a personal attack. I'm just tired of the word 'iconic' being attached to things for no sensible reason. I hea
d someone describe an "iconic thought" last week. Try using 'celebrated' or 'memorable' to describe this sort of thing. It looks so much better and doesn't attract complaints from grumpy old sods like me. 😁
