  • 20x20 DIY Fire Pit!
This is a great project for new welders! I find that a 20x20 pit is perfect for small backyard fires. If desired you could easily up the size of the pit. I have already made a few custom sizes for customers the biggest being a 36x36. If you do decide to go that big id recommend going up in the thickness of the steel say to 3/16.

I have built several of these, What I done to make it go together alot faster is to join all four sides (but slot them and just bend them together where they meet by hand and weld them. It works very quick and easy. I make mine from 10 ga material and about 24" across flats. Nice video. I think I made a video of making one as well several months ago.

Any chance you could do a video on just the Fusion 360 part? Would be very helpful to many of us.

Great video. I'd love to see a Fusion360 tutorial on how you made it.

How does the angle affect the smoke output? Does it cause the smoke to roll out and over the sides?

I have not seen any smoke problems or it rolling up over the sides.

I do locally. I have made one of these in a 36x36 it is a very large pit! I haven’t made any mesh covers yet but it’s certainly possible.
