    One small tip for ppl who have not performed this task before. Just one drop of Brake fluid landing on your Plastic Dash or Plastic Screen will mark it permanently. Remove your plastic screen and cover your Dash with Glad wrap to protect it when you are bleeding your Master cylinder.Better to be safe then sorry )))

    I know its a different brand but my galfer lines look the exact same and they had them flipped the other way. So the line coming straight off the master went straight down to brake lever side caliper and then that line at the T went over to the clutch side caliper. So then the mount on the triple tree would line with that metal lip. But hey whats it matter it works then it works

    I ordered the Speigler Rennsport kit for my 2009 CBR1000RR and the lines were almost maxed out when wrapped in front of the triple. Ran them behind but there is little clearance. We'll see if they hold up!

    I have tried one of those vacuum bleeders and it was good, but I have had better luck with one of the JIMS USA brake bleeders. I think it was because it pushes the fluid into the caliper instead of sucking it out.

    Great video. Thank you for taking the time to post this. I feel confident tackling my bike now. Except that mine is an ABS model. There is an additional part that the break lines attach to which leads to the side of the bike and ultimately disappears under the tank.
    Is it important for this to be still connected? Can I still get this done and ignore the ABS lines or am I going to cause more harm than good. I would really appreciate your input on this.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Před 3 lety

      If you plan to keep the ABS on the bike you will need an ABS specific kit to get that done. We have a few videos on other models that were equipped with ABS and we installed a brake line kit. Here is a link to one of these videos: czcams.com/video/OlLt1E_7G5I/video.html - Van

    08 ZX-10R stock routing runs behind the forks(uses 3 lines like the Rennsport kit) which I prefer because, to me, the routing in front of the forks gives too much exposure to the brake lines - looks funky. So, what is the reasoning behind your routing choice? Kawasaki's choice was behind the forks.

    Excellent video, love the work! I recently installed some lines for my 2013 1000 RR and I notice st highway speeds the front fender is vibrating quite a bit, from a visual perspective. Could the removal of the OEM lines and their connection to the fender sides perhaps lead to a more vibration prone fender? It was so severe I’m considering reinstalling the OEM set. Could it be I’ve never noticed the vibration with an OEM setup? All else was good with the install.
    Thanks in advance for your thoughts and keep the shiny side up!

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Před 5 lety

      I do not feel the brake line kit will cause the fender to vibrate. Make sure you have all of the fasteners in the the front fender before you chase this problem down. If you feel the vibration in the bars you may have a front tire that is out of balance. - Van

    Is there any benefit to running the Rennsport style over the dual line version (one line per caliper)? This is for a bike that’s used mostly on the street and sees only a few track days a year.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Před 4 lety

      The only real benefit is there is only one line up at the master cylinder so it is a little cleaner. The brakes function the same. - Van

    do i have to take the nose fairing off the bike to do the job? or everything is still accessible with out taking the fairing off? also whats the name of the brake fluid you were using?
    also i would really appropriate it it you'd do fairings replacement job on the fireblade.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Před 8 lety

      +Tito Neal Unfortunately we will likely not be able to do a fairing replacement video as we have already given away the CBR used in these videos. :(
      You do not need to remove the fairings, just be sure that when you are bleeding the brakes you do not get any of the brake fluid on any part of your motorcycle fairings!
      The brake fluid used in this video is Motul RBF 600!

    does it matter if you wire the lines in front or behind the forks? I have a 2008 R6. ive seen them done both ways

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Před 9 lety

      I've typically seen the lines ran behind the forks so they are out of the way. I am pretty sure there was less binding on my R6 when ran this way and that is how it is on my bike now. Good luck with the front install! ~Aubrey
