    JMoneyGangster!! Ha! You totally got me on the "hunter's stride" lol. I was actually trying to envision how that would actually look, and was half convinced until you let us off the hook. Well done, sir. Well done. And again, I LOVE the little extended scene at the end that allows us the time to click on your offered video in the corner. Perfect production, man. I'm such a huge fan.

    One of the game changers that I "discovered" last year with my winter setup is an Osprey pack (Rook 65), which contains a trampoline back. I'm able to sleep in the same clothes that I ski in during the day because I'm not getting to camp with a drenched back. It has reduced my pack weight and eliminated the dreaded changing of clothes.

    Love winter camping. In fact I guess I'm just the opposite of what you'd expect. Winter is when I start camping. Summer humidity and bugs keep me off trail until November (unless I'm out west where I can hit a real mountain or desert)

    I do have both, one Sea to Summit hybrid quilt/blanket/sleeping bag and the Marmot Col sleeping bag. I cannot, repeat cannot, get comfortable or warm from a quilt. I am a bag man 100%. 6'5" and 260, I side sleep and baste like a rotisserie chicken turning. I can't big J, it just doesn't work for me. But, I do camp in -20 degree weather in a tent. đŸ€Ł

You had me for a second with the tracking, was paying close attention for a revelation of what you could see, then the asymmetrical stride pantomime gave the game away. Well played. Wow, I can't believe how much snow you guys already have! Still nothing here in Montreal. I have the EE Convert quilt, which is similar to their Connundrum you were using, but with a shock cord footbox rather than sewn. When it's colder, I throw my hiking clothes at the bottom to make sure no cold air comes through if I didn't tighten it up enough. Worked perfectly so far. Love the versatility of it.

    Great Video Justin. You do an amazing job with the photography. It does look great out in the snow. Never tried hiking in the snow, so I may have a dumb question. Looks like you tented away from the pine trees. Since they are small, wouldn't you want to tent right up to them to block most the blowing snow and wind? Again, great job with your videos and I am now a new subscriber

    • @bandofbros8112
      @bandofbros8112 Pƙed rokem

      If the snow piled up on the trees falls on your tent in one big pile, it could collapse and worst case snap a pole or tear the fabric.
      Better to be in the open and dig the tent into the snow a bit.

    Great video thanks. I looked at the Conundrum vs the Enigma for 'warmer' winter camping (--15C and above). I chose the Enigma...for colder weather I plan to double up with my revelation quilt placed on top. One trick I tried this past weekend was to slide my pad into a silk Sea-to-Summit liner then placed the pad straps over the liner, which secured the liner in place. The liner means I am not sleeping against the pad (no insulation value but nicer to sleep on than the pad).
