That was so great of a day you had!! I love the way you tell us about the shells and introduce us to people along the way!!
I absolutely love shells that are broken and you can see the middle part of it. It would be like if you took a knife and cut it, not in the middle, but off center, so that you see the way it spirals from the opening to the top.
If you find ones like that, I’d buy them off you. I guess you can say I find shells that are broken and show you their middle parts, quite fascinating!!
    Thanks for another great video!!☺️🐬

And as usual I was squealing with the sand dollars. I just love the ones from your area. I have been collecting 5 hole keyhole sand dollars all my life but yours are so different! They are awesome with the flower and all the patterns. If you look at them thru a magnifier they are incredible! And that purple sand 😚🤗! I love my jar of it, so pretty! Thanks for the fun adventure. Oh Jamie, great finds today! And I'm Loving the purple/garnet sand and the patterns. BTW, you WILL Love Scotland. I spent nearly a month there a few years back (my twin sister & I took our 86 (at the time) year old mother to Scotland so she could see "her" castle (Huntly Castle - we are Gordon Highlander descendants, and very distantly related to Mary Queen of Scots). My mother inherited Huntly Castle (a Gordon stronghold) when she was a teenager. However, it was shortly after the Depression and did not have the means to travel to Scotland to claim the Castle. Also she would have to restore it which was an impossibility. She signed it over to the Scottish Government; they promised to restore it which they did - at least partially. Here is a fun fact: castles are everywhere in Scotland (take a good camera with you!). Anyway, if a Castle is privately owned, it must be restored. There are 2 ways to restore: if you do not put a roof on the Castle, it must be available as a public park; it must be safe for people to hike/tour thru it on their own. But, it is incredibly expensive to restore, and maintsin, as a vacant heritage type site. If you put a roof on it, it then becomes a habitable building; hence big taxes and $$$$$ to maintain whether you live in it or not. Those that choose to live in a restored Castle must be extremely wealthy. Besides putting a roof on it, you now must make it livable. It would the likes of Elon Musk to undertake a project like that! Or, a person/family can turn the Castle over to the Scottish Government and they will restore it, but not put a roof on it. Of course it will be a totally vacant castle, but it is sooo much fun to hike thru them! They become like a National Park. Most of the famous castles are in partial ruins (they are very old), but the Government clears out the ruined areas, and they do minor rebuilding of the good areas of a Castle to make it available to the public. It is so incredibly expensive to maintain a Castle, even without a roof. The surrounding grounds/property of the castle is also restored/relandscaped into beautiful park-like settings. Anyway, don't dismiss opportunities to tour castles, intact or partial ruins. The history alone is mind blowing. There are some magnificent castles that are must see's: Edinburgh Castle, Balmoral, St. Andrew's, Glamis Castle (pronounced Glams), Inverness Castle, and of course The incredible Stirling Castle. There are many many more. If you have the time, check them out; you'll not be disappointed. Also, check out Cathedrals and small country churches! Gorgeous. If you stop at small country churches, and many cathedrals, they will have graveyards; check out the headstones and stone crosses with beautiful Celtic designs! And, always go into the Cathedrsls - they are magnificent inside (even the ruined ones are beautiful - hike around them for sure). The country churches are beautiful in their own way - must seeds! The Scots are kind friendly people, and they love Americans. They will want to talk with you. The pubs serve good food & are not as expensive as restaurants. Also, you must order a Guiness (stout) Beer ON TAP, not bottled. It arrives with a thick head of foam that is like cream! Even if you are not a beer drinker, order it at least once. The beer -Guiness- is quite different compared to what we get here, even if it's on tap. How soon are you going? I hope it's during the summer months; you can go to a real Highlander Game(s) - not to be missed!!! Anyway, thanks for the great vid; beautiful shells as always. Oh, and when crossing streets in Scotland, ALWAYS look to your right before stepping out into the street as that is the direction the traffic will be coming from! Big Hugs, from a Gordon Highlander in Sacramento, California ❤

I'm meeting up with a lovely woman who I met through my channel. I can't wait to see what kind of shells I find! We're going to be looking for some queen Scallops. Hi Mary! I shell on the southern side of PI. If you drive through The Wildlife Refuge all the way to the end (lot 7) you'll find the Emerson rocks to your left and Barhead rocks to your right. This is where I do most of my shelling. However, it's after April 1st which means the only area you can shell is the Barhead Rocks. They do this to protect the plovers that nest on the island. Access to Emerson resumes in September.
