People say will Clark or ken Griffey jr but I love bonds short compact swing it has the quickest bat speed I ever seen making it the best swing of all time
All great hitters, but Barry was the best of his generation. Personally, I think Palmiero had THE most fluid, natural swing, but the quickest bat had to be Gary Sheffield.
Bonds was like a Black Ted Williams. He had a sweet swing and incredible bat speed and hand-eye coordination. Even if he they just based their assessment of Bonds career pre-steroids, he gets into the HOF. He was already a Hall of Famer at the time he started doing steroids.
@@phuckbillgates8790 Like Bonds, it'll be "after the fact". What everyone conveniently forgets about the steroid era is that the abused substances were not illegal when they were used. Also, MLB encouraged -- at a MINIMUM -- turned a blind eye to the use of PEDs. After the mid-90's work stoppage/strike, they needed an unhappy public to return to the parks.
If I was a baseball coach and I was showing my players how to swing a bat, I will show this video to them because his fundamentals when it comes to his swings are perfect
As a kid, I was often shown his swing for films. It is near fundamental perfection. Not to mention his bat speed was up there with being ridiculously fast
No over strength, no extra rotation, if possible make contact with the center of the barrel, right leg aligned with elbow, torso and shoulders. Plus his hand and eye coordination is unreal. BTW, he used the smallest bat in baseball history. A 33onzbat. Not even D. Gordon uses a bat so light.
@Marky Coleman O. Smith bat was a 36 inch bat, I don't think you will find a wood 36 inch bat that weights 29onz. Louisville Slugger has in their museum few of Ozzie bats and none of them were 29onz. Nice trying using the BatDigest Blog when they don't bring a single reference. Regarding Carew I can't say...
@Marky Coleman exactly. I got no idea where how this guy pulled this information up his ass. There's a video where they actually swing Barry's bat, and they could barely get it through the zone because of how heavy it was.
You are all wrong... Barry Bonds bats were made by Sam bat which is a manufacturer in Ottawa Canada. The defining feature of his bat was the knob which he designed himself so it felt like a baseball in his hands. He used a 34” bat with a weight he was very specific about...31.8oz! You can call Sam bat and they will make you custom order and are very generous with their help and information Have a nice day!
I seen him hit two home runs in one game way back when he played for the pirates and he probably weighed about 180 lbs. If you don't have the talent steroids won't get you anywhere
CRAIG BIGGIO ON THE HOUSTON ASTROS SAID , BARRY BONDS IS THE BEST I EVER SAW . TOM GLAVINE FAMOUS. PITCHER FOR THE ATLANTA BRAVES AND A 2 × CY YOUNG AWARD WINNER , SAID BARRY BONDS IS THE BEST ALL AROUND I HAVE FACED . BARRY HAS HIT 8 HOMERS OFF OF TOM GLAVINE .>🎤
But, but, but....steroids are the reason why Bonds' swing was as close to perfect as one could get. He isn't a HOFer because steroids gave him great vision, eye/hand coordination, baseball and plate IQ, and great swing mechanics.
Doesn't matter. They are banned and he used them. Doesn't get in, end of story really. It's that simple. But I agree he was a phenomenal player regardless.
drops his shoulder, keeps elbow tucked & lowers the tip of the bat toward the ground while rotating. whoever taught him that is a genius. idc if you throw 150 mph fast ball he'll get that bat over the plate when the ball gets there. now sprinkle a little HGH in there and you have the home run machine.
He is the greatest baseball player to ever play. GOAT
His hitting mechanics were closest to perfection. Unreal!
Mechanics? You mean hormones.
@@hyzercreek Best hitter EVER. Period!!!

I Agree 😎😎
All great hitters, but Barry was the best of his generation. Personally, I think
Palmiero had THE most fluid, natural swing, but the quickest bat had to be Gary Sheffield.
Griffey had a smooth swing though. It looked good.
The most perfect swing baseball has ever seen

I agree he was good in Pittsburgh
When do you say was his pre steroid.. it seems around 32-34 but we really don’t know
And he drew walks.
Say he hit .320 in 500 AB. That’s 160 hits plus 140 walks that’s 300 times on base out of 640 plate appearances.
That’s over .400.
Why you gotta mention race?
After the 98 season @@jerrysmith3695
まったくといってほどスイングに無駄がないよな。理想的なスイング
His right leg perfectly straight every time the power is perfect
His 40-40 season in 1996, pre-steroids, is still one of the best offensive seasons of all-time
fr even without steroids he was better than trout his career from 1990-2000 is HOF worthy
@@SheLuvMaddox trout ain't shit compared to Bonds and nobody ever mentions tout's rapid and massive weight gain.

He doesn't plant his front foot down firmly like other hitters do. If your a hitting coach for beginners you would never teach that.
GREATEST MLB player ever with the BEST swing you'll ever see...Barry Bonds...G.O.A.T.
Nice
That body rotation is something special 👌
BARRY BONDS IS. THE BEST ALL AROUND AND OVERALL BASEBALL PLAYER EVER .>🎤
Love the mini toe tap before the front foot goes forward.
The perfect swing.
Greatest mechanics of the baseball swing.
'Roids or not, Bonds had the quickest swing I've seen since I began following MLB 50 years ago.
Yep , hes throwing the bat head with his left hand/arm .
McGuire’s swing was recorded as the fastest. Even faster than Sheffield. And that was before he got on the J too
I'd say McGwire and Bonds had the fastest swings.
Beautiful
Best swing in mlb history
Beautiful swing
i know he was juiced up during the SF days, but damn i would love to see the statcast data on some of his hits
Perfection
The last one was a broken bat home run against the Marlins in 2003 I think
His bottom half looks EXACTLY the same on every swing
power, effort, and drug
PED's did not do this! This is 100% Barry!

I think you mean Greg Maddox. He hit five or six off of Glavine
Fairly good hitter all his life then age 40 he gained 50 pounds of muscle and hit homers.
Yawn
His swing was effective but was not sweet. Clark and Griffey were as good as it gets. Also mattingly in many seasons before injuries
