  • Every Fractal User Can Use This Trick!
    Using the Blocks Library is a HUGE help when making presets on your Fractal FM3, FM9 or AXE FX 3. The stock presets are so good and there are plenty of great dialed in FX for you to "steal"
    I highly recommend ‪@LeonTodd‬ 's Blocks Library as stated in the video. Here is the link - forum.fractala...

      HIHO ... Great work!!! To answer the question. It would be great if you could make a video about running multiple Instruments into the FM9
      I would love to run Guitar/Bass/Vocals through it. But have no clue if the CPU could work ... :)

    I think what I got out of this video is, I’m selling my QC, and my FM3 and getting an Axe3 turbo

    The shown way is really valuable. Thanks for showing it. And yes, i agree, the factory presets all sound amazing. There is perhabs only a little tuning necessary to match the personal taste of the player.

    I agree that if you find a preset especially a block that's amazing why not copy it and implement it into your own presets. You can study it and learn from that preset but in the meantime I'd rather just put it in my new preset. Later on I'll sit there and get deep in the unit but right now I just want to have fun. I just received fm9 Christmas time after selling my line 6 Helix and my fractal ax8. No regret Steve this unit just blows me away on the factory presets alone. The amazing layouts that you can do although I do miss the four four top and four bottom row configuration you can have a lot of different layouts.

    Steve you're right.. Presets already sound amazing.. I get my FM9 n a few days and I'm going to put my pedals away for a bit and really dive into this thing... My concern is getting the drives right and volumes of the drives live...

    I use ToneX to capture my amp blocks and use them on Logic Pro X.
    Made a lot of A/B and couldn’t figure out wich one was the AxefxIII ones! For some amps I could make the difference is very low frequencies using a spectrometer but using Nam to capture is 100% null test correct.
    Cliff should definitely bring NN deep learning to AxefxIII turbo. Hope I will not have to buy an AxefxIV for that… apparently they should have a lot more memory and bring a cuda NVidia card to keep on :(

    Your reverb was saved with bypass state set to thru, you need to change that to effects in.

  • @markmusicman
    @markmusicman Před rokem

    The first thing I did was delete all presets. In the end you really need to create your own if you want to design your own tone. but I understand allot of people love the presets that are already programmed. You have to love the Fm9.

      @@SteveSterlacci just got my FM9 the other day and deleted them right away. I know not everyone would do this; I did the same thing with my Axe FX 2 back around 10 years ago. We all have our own goals and ideas. I hope you love your FM9 on this upcoming tour you're doing. I don't think it will let you down man!! Fractal makes some awesome gear and there are tones just waiting to be found in it. Alive & Loving it!

    I’ve never used a Fractal product. Compared to the Quad which I’ve been using for the last 2 years, this thing seems way more complicated. I’ve 😅wanted to try the FM9 since it came out but I’m not sure I’m down for the steep learning curve.

      I do the same with the HX stuff, or any modeler that has good FX. Its a fun task and beats learning all the deep parameters

    • @MOAB-UT
      @MOAB-UT Před rokem

      Once you learn how to do it, it's not that bad. I own one and yes, it could be easier but it is what it is. I don't like I have to work to create a loop in the chain. A looper should be one button that is always available- same with 2nd guitar input, etc. You have to set it up to do things that other units automatically do...but once it's set up, you can forget it and it just works. It also sounds superior to all other solutions out there at the relative price. It's actually a great value when you consider all the gear my FM9 Turbo can replace. One good Reverb pedal alone can run you $500.
