I dislike the fact that he completed the entire DLC on the hardest difficulty in the time it took me to kill the 2 maurauders

I tried playing Ultra Nightmare with this kind of mindset, and died on the final boss, not everyone has the talent of these DOOM gods, but anyone could attain it. It only costs effort.

This DLC is absolute nightmare on nightmare, I just finished it and this dude makes nightmare look so easy

Beat the main game on nightmare. Turned down the difficulty to Ultra-Violence pretty much instantly. This DLC, and the second one that just released, are much more difficult than the base game. I'm astonished how much they ramped up the difficulty.

The fight that starts around 1:03:10 took me about four hours of dying and trying again to complete on nightmare difficulty. Seeing you just breeze through it is simply amazing.
I loved this fight, the layout of the arena and monkey bars makes it good for flying around

If you focus on memorizing the wheel it's super easy to be "almost" as fast as pc. I finished the DLC and it was certainly a step up in difficulty from the base game but still super fun
Yep, I memorized the weapon wheel and it’s somewhat seamless after few big battles on console.
After playing this DLC. Master Levels are a joke.

It's easy to get into the habit of running backwards while shooting in this game, and I think he almost never does that, so he always knows where he's going. Plus I think his decision making for where to go while fighting is very good.
Reminder, the Air Control rune is the most important rune in the entire game. Choose it the first chance you got to fix your mobility problems.

I think what is most impressive is he did UN on his first attempt, after only playing through once. I did a Nightmare run, did an extra-life mode run, and then attempted UN twice, before getting it on the third try. Hats off to you DraQu, you are one hell of a Doom Slayer!

Of course DraQu beats the dlc on UN in the time it took me to beat the second level on UV. Nice run man
In the dlc, they actually made Sentinel Armor (Mega Armor) available in all difficulties, most notably in the blood swamps. so extra lives aren't replaced by it anymore
It’s been about 5 months since I finished doom eternal on UV. I felt pretty good about it. This DLC is unforgiving. It throws you into the meat grinder on the first level. Leave it to Draku to make it look like nothing.

I'm honestly quite happy with this DLC. Id once again shows they know how to increase the challenge without feeling cheesy.

It is total bullshit IMO. I ended up basically cheesing it.
The arena fight right after it with the spirit baron of hell is harder.
What you're referring to is also hair-pullingly difficult, the entire game is so much harder than the base game.
@@zurgu I made this comment before I beat it. I beat the entire thing in nightmare with no sentinel armor and there are definitely more difficult fights after this. Final boss stage is hell
@@Mr.Mc90 You were right. The last boss stage was absolute hell. I did it without sentinel armor, but fuck me if the last two spirits weren't a huge pain in the ass.
@@zurgu I am still on the last arena before the boss. The spirit enemies are a major PITA. Ice grenade anything near me while pissing around with lockon.
The lockon not working well with the microwave gun is super frustrating and it seems to be a similar issue to the chainsaw sometimes not chainsawing the target.
It is a great game but these feel like bugs rather than me. But maybe I just suck.
I'd love to know the exact key bindings used for weapons here! I'm trying to find the perfect setup to access all my weapons but haven't quite gotten there...

Trying to get through this, at the first big "trial" and getting absolutely annihilated on HURT ME PLENTY! xD They really went overboard on these fights. Like, TWO Arch-Viles at the same time, buffing everything, including TWO Dread Knights, invisible Pinkies, a Doom Hunter, a slew of those snake MF's and a literal million of ads xD And that's after you've already taken down a couple of Dread knights and two Arachnotrons, one of which is super buffed from a Spirit xD F*ckin' hell, ID calm down!
