The newer chargers have never looked anything like the chargers of 68 through 70. If Dodge would drop a charger in our lap that’s two door and is truly modeled after the 68-70, like they did with the challenger modeled after 70-71. They would sell like Hot Dogs at the ballpark.

Yes V-6s sell more when you look at the spreadsheet. But V-8s sell V-6s. If your top models are bad ass, people will want whatever magic they can afford. If your top model is "lame" your car just wont sell.
I feel like the charger looks better with the 4 doors. And let's be honest people have gotten the charger over the years because it's way more practical but still gives you power

We'll have to see if the actual 4 door Dodge Charger will look like those Photoshop mock-ups. Dodge will need that 4 door version in its line-up for family passenger vehicles, fleet rental vehicles, and possibly the Police edition of the 4 door Charger. Personally, I prefer a 2 door vehicle over a 4 door vehicle. I would be happy with a 2025 Dodge Charger with 2 doors and the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine with 300hp in a base model SXT or GT. Dodge can reserve their Hurricane inline 6 turbo engines for the R/T, Scat Pack, and Hellcat. The Dodge Charger Daytona EV edition will feature the electric motors.
Also, it would make a perfect taxi. Taxis in America, especially New York’s yellow cabs, were historically iconic for using American full-size RWD sedans but nowadays, they’re mostly using smaller Japanese hybrids and never used the Charger even though it would’ve been the perfect replacement. Since the new Charger will be available in electric as well, let’s hope it would become a common taxi model in America.
if the pentastar continues alongside the hurricane inline 6, i hope they give the pentastar some boost. they could give it either a single turbo or a small supercharger
Being that the pentastar is basically the Ferrari engine without boost, I see that as possible.👀

I am willing to bet it is the biggest mistake they ever made. I mean besides putting a four banger in them in the 8p's.
Won't have a "V" 6, it'll be an inline twin turbo 6. I own a '23 Charger GT, and honestly, the look of the next gen doesn't come close to the outward looks of the current gen.
The current gen is SOOOOOOO tired looking though. The new rear end strongly resembles the 99' concept, which was leaps and bounds better looking than the watered down 4-door we ended up with, and have had since 2006. 12 years for a car interior to not even get an major updates is unacceptable- then to start charging 30% more for this tired vehicle is insulting. Dodge has withered away to a niche automaker because hadn't launched any new product outside of the Dart for an entire decade plus... Without mainstream product to attract core buyers looking for competitive efficient transportation, there's no money to develop new engines or new product.

Don't forget that Maserati, which is also under the Stellantis umbrella, has been running a twin-turbo V6 for a while now in the Maserati Ghibli. Although never seen in a Dodge vehicle, the engine is already proven and powerful. We're not sure how many R&D is shared between the two brands, but the potential for a killer performance car is definitely there.

We need a 6 speed 4 door
The only thing I blatantly dislike about this car is the fact that it's a hatchback. The only real thing I'd change is the blank door, I'd prefer it had '68 scalloping. Leaving it blank just makes the car look too bland. Other than that, the taillights are good, front end is good. I really like the silhouette, I'm beyond excited to see the coke-bottle style make a comeback!

I haven't heard about any V6 being offered for the new 2025 Chargers. Just the inline Hurricane Twin Turbo Six, for the ICE versions. Dodge is going to need a 4 door ICE Charger to sell to the masses, agreed on that. Many of the automakers don't get it that the public is rejecting EV's (except the Tesla fans). Volkswagen's new Scout subsidiary is building a new plant in Tennessee. The Scout is going to return as an EV 4×4, and there's supposed to be a pickup in the family. I guess Volkswagen's group wants to compete with GMC's Hummer EV. And since Navistar is now part of the group, VW now owns the Scout name, and can use it.
I'm good with 4 doors as long as they offer a 2 door version for me.

The Dodge EV will sell, but nowhere near as well as the Pentastar, 5.7, or 6.4 did.
