- Yay! Eco Lifestyle is finally here! And I'm finally able to build in Evergreen Harbor. For my first build, I've decided to replace The Caboose, a community lot found in Port Promise. I'm instead putting a restaurant, a coffee shop, AND a bar. All in one lot! They can be found in a abandoned (but renovated) fish canning factory and a vintage train dining car. The factory has been decorated in a modern industrial style, heavy on the industrial. And the train dining car has been restored to its former glory, and is a quite romantic place to eat dinner. The coffee shop is on the first floor of the factory, and the bar is on the second. Hope you all like it!!

Hahaha I have never been one to mode my houses like the other one in the neighborhood. I've always been one to build my house the way I like it even if it sticks out like a sore thumb. I love this pack, but then again I love all the packs.

@@RoxxySims I just did a junk collector's lot, and I loved it so much that I destroyed it to remake as a speed build. I hope to be posting it in a couple days.

This IS Wicked Girly!!! I remember telling you but you may not remember .... My Grandfather worked as the yard master in my city ... and then years later my mom worked down there to pick up the engineer brakeman & conductor and would have to travel long periods to wherever it was they had stopped and bring them to the yard where they would get picked up for their layovers and taken to the hotel ... like their were "Car Men" and they would do the "dirty" things needed LOL maintenance with things with the trains..... I was around this my whole life pretty much.... My Mom ended up collecting the "Flashlight Lanterns" She had tons! to decorate in the house she was OBSESSED with trains too!!! Anyway long long story but good times for sure because I would go to work with her and had so much fun even up to my late teens some

I love trains too! I honestly wish I could have a miniature town and train set lol. If I was rich I totally would!

This is so dope! Unfortunately restuarants with the kitchens far from the dining area and host booth are the reason why dine out doesn't function smoothly. Dine out is most effective when everything is near by. But I still love it. Especially since I'm mostly a storyteller. Also EA made a statement about the balconies. They had to make them non-functional before the public release because they kept glitching when the neighborhood changes. However the Tool Mod is a great work around.
Maybe you could do a tiny/small container home for a professional gardener or a big gardener and use the ladders.
I also love this build and how creative and flexible it is.🙂

*edit*: Got to the sprained ankle story... So, in February 2019 I fell in the hallway and landed on my right foot. Hurt like no tomorrow, should have gone to ER, but didn't because I felt stupid for having fallen for no reason; and it must not have been so bad, right?! Very, very *wrong*. I went to Urgent Care almost two weeks later, and was diagnosed with my first ever sprain. I'm still not recovered from it. I'm very glad you're making so much progress with your recovery! Based on my own experience, and that after only three weeks (more now) you're starting to walk normally on it, I'm so glad it wasn't that bad! Those kinds of injuries are definitely no good D:

Oh, so you know how much sprained ankles suck! I was really reluctant to go to the doctor too. I read a lot about light exercise and stretching helping the healing process, so I've been trying that. I think it has helped! It's still not fully better, of course. But I'm on my way. I hope your ankle is fully healed soon!! The recovery process feels like it takes an eternity, right?!
This is so awesome! I love cafés build in unique spaces in real life, so of course they are awesome in th sims! I think the creative freedom in the game can really make a build stand out such as this one! Great job!

Can I just say that watching your speed builds is soooo refreshing? So many simmers find their niche and just stick to that (ie. cozy family homes, industrial homes, etc. etc.) and don't really branch out too much. Not that there's anything wrong with that if that's what they like, I just really enjoy that you're always coming up with creative builds that are actually fun and functional to play in and you experiment in different styles of homes and community lots. Keep up the great work!

This is sooo cool! I saw the thumbnail and immediately fell in love with it! 😍 Although I wanted to do a (better) train station for that lot as well, I'm now definitely using your gorgeous factory!
As for why you can't build on the balconies any more although the game changers could during early access: It's not a bug. The Sims team realized that building on the balconies caused a lot of issues when you developed the neighborhood with a N.A.P., so they first tried everything to fix the issues without success and had to disable building on the balconies as a result. So unfortunately it doesn't look like we will ever be able to do that again. 😟

@@lilfriendlyapricot7150 Because of the Neighborhood Action Plans that let you develop the neighborhood to become more eco-friendly. They change the exterior of apartment buildings and apparently cause a lot of problems with customized balconies. But that's only what I heard. Who knows, maybe they will find a fix given more time.

I love this place! I have it in my game and I just stumbled upon your video today and had to watch you build it. Thanks so much, it is really a perfect lot and my sims love it. I use it as a restaurant and I was so happy that you actually did dress the staff! Not many people do that and I loved that you did! Something that I’ve trying (and failing) to do is make an outdoor hang out space in EvergreenHarbor. We have a place called JBGB where I live where you can play games and watch concerts and just hang out and it’s also a brewery. It would be perfect for Evergreen Harbor, especially if it had an eco uplift(:

You were talking about lots with multi functions, I was mentioning this on another channel the other day. I would love to be able to have a business and home on a lot, like a coffee shop, with an apartment upstairs. I also would like to be able to build a few tiny homes on one lot, and they each still get the bonus separate, along with their own mailbox and bills etc. I think the way to do this is to give us the ability to make a lot multi function, or multi households. It should also offer us the ability to build our own real apartments, or duplex etc. I haven't seen anything like this in sims before and I think there is a huge gap in game play not having this ability. What a great expansion or game pack that would be! Optionally they could offer new lots that we can section ourselves, maybe a mall is in our future?

@@RoxxySims Most of our packs have been something that was done before in earlier versions of sims, but I just have felt such a gap in the multi family lots, something we have been doing in real life for centuries and yet apartments can't be in the gallery unless we take out walls, and though we could technically build a duplex or 4 plex, but you can't separate the mail or bills. When I saw the tiny home expansion, I was very excited, I wanted to build a few on one lot, with maybe a shared play area or barb q pit....but then I got it and the reality is we can't get the bonus for each home, and I wish we could make tiny lots, or a tiny lot world, why can't we make worlds?

I have a love/hate relationship with the hipster aesthetic so I'm really enjoying this pack so far despite hating the sims themselves (the cas options are so cringe, wtf is that jean skirt thing lol?!?) Sorry to hear about your ankle, it sounds like something that would happen to me because I'm so damn clumsy. Hope it gets 100% better soon!

This is so impressive! The details you included are very reminiscent of actual places. Everytime you added small things, like the lettering on the train car, I got so excited, lol. Those little touches really make a difference. I also really like that you included props that make the whole place actually look like it used to be a factory, like the crane and exposed pipe. Not to mention the "unfinished" office space/storage area upstairs, love it! I was originally looking for ideas on making a train platform house/restaurant to build on this lot, but this is loads better than what I can make, lol. I'm definitely going to use this. Thanks for your time and talent. 😊

Yeah, it's a bummer! Someone told me (with the restaurant outfits at least) that if you have the outfit you want them to wear as the first outfit on the list then they will wear it. So I'm going to try that out!

Also, make sure that you set the outfits for the waiters etc as their first outfit! I had the same issue and I realized that I was technically creating a “second uniform” for instance, you know how you can make several uniforms? Make sure you delete the very first outfit they are wearing which is the default and change that one 😉
