    That's the one thing I need to learn after the basics: body mechanics on individual parts before practicing animating the full body.

    Oh man, that's intense. This may be a stupid question, and I know the whole point was to do this all with keyframe animation, but if you mocapped it, would it look remotely as good?

      Not sure, since I haven't mocapped before. But if you're looking to produce anything realistic, seems like mocap would do the trick.
