At their peek, Zoo York was at the heart of the culture, carving out a space and helping to lay the ground work for the entire evolution of a fashion genre.

Shit Justin Pierce was my best friend for 5 years! I grew up in The Bronx where we didn't have skateparks we skated the streets!! Some of my other crew I skated with included Mike Hernandez, Harold Hunter! Now I'm 50 years old and watch skateboarding videos daily! ONE LOVE!! 😎

It was the videos, my friends. Heads, Peep This, Mixtape, Mixtape 2.0: Unbreakable, E.S.T., E.S.T. 2.0, E.S.T. 3.0, E.ST. 4.0, and State of Mind, super sick skating and on the East Coast, it's not about the biggest stairs or rails, it's about finding unique spots in the older cities of the US like NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, and D.C. It's all about style over substance. Zered Bassett grew up a few towns away from me. I remember he was on 16 skateboards, and then there was all this local buzz about him getting on Zoo York, and we were all waiting for E.S.T. 2.0 and Mixtape 2.0 to come out. I skated with him a few times back in the day. I've seen Jereme Rogers and Eli Reed skate in Boston but Zered was unbelievable in person. And he's still doing at 40 years old.

Just last year I got a couple of Zoo York Basketball Jerseys.
While they're most likely recent, they go hard.
I believe those items still retain the core essence of what Zoo York used to be.

Brought 2 sets of 3 zoo York crew tees at the Little Rock mall, forgotten all about this brand
most of my tshirts were Zoo York and 555-Soul. What a great era.... Fang's brother was in our crew, and Harold was one of the homeys along with others from the Kids movie via hanging at NASA nightclub. That's mainly how I knew them.
