For the first episode in our best things to do in Auckland series we've hunted out a few of the most fun and adrenaline pumping activities you can do... it just so happens they also help showcase some of the best attractions Auckland has to offer as well!
The answer to getting extreme in Auckland is AJ Hackett, we were hosted by the team to help share the Bridge Climb tour over the Auckland Harbour Bridge and the SkyWalk tour around the Sky Tower. They have different activities in a few places around New Zealand here - www.bungy.co.nz/
The SkyWalk is around the outside of New Zealand's largest building, the Sky Tower. Close to 200 metres above the streets you walk around on the outer rim completing different challenges and getting the most impressive views of the city.
The Bridge Climb is under, over and on top of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. It's a super interesting tour with loads of secret intel about the build process and surrounding areas - it also has 360 degree views of Auckland!

I think my biggest take away from this video is how jealous I am that you guys are in NZ and I'm not. Seeing you guys in the lift and no one was having to wear masks puts into perspective how polar opposite we are at the moment. The volcano hike next episode looks amazing, I can't wait for that video!!!

Hahah I was almost poopin my pants, not gonna lie. At breakfast beforehand my sister was like "Wow you're literally radiating nerves right now" 😂
Oh wow brings back so many memories for me. I remember travelling over the bridge everyday from Orewa to Auckland to attend business college, then work while the Extensions were being added to the bridge - lots of traffic delays etc then!!!!! Also been up the sky tower about 3 times, not to walk around outside, but to take in the view and also have eaten in the restaurant. Had a flutter in the Casino and stayed in Sky City. Looking forward to your next video from Rangitoto Island. Remember going there on a school trip. Oh the memories. Love your videos 💕

I have done the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb. And gone up the CN tower in Toronto. That was before you could walk outside. My legs would have gone to jelly. Great video.

That does bring back the memories. I did the bridge walk in 2014, and the tower walk in 2017.

You guys should got to Donald Mclean lookout in the waitakere ranges. On a clear day when conditions are right you can see Mt Taranaki.

OMG!!! Stacey, I felt your anxiety!!! I joined the 82nd Airborne Division when I was younger to get rid of my fear of heights; 34 jumps and STILL freak out if I go above one rung on a ladder. LOL Props for you for facing your fears :)

I went up the Skytower on my second visit to Aotearoa, although I didn't do the Sky Walk - did you notice the glass floor in the elevator?
The bridge tour looks great fun too, I'll need to add that to my list!

I'm sorry, I had to turn the sound off on the Sky Tower adventure - but I did kind of watch it. The Harbour Bridge adventure, I managed with the sound. I went up the Sky Tower probably a decade back, in that fast lift - never again but at least I did it with a whole lot of friends, some just as terrified as me.... Looking forward to Rangitoto adventure, been more than 20 years since I went over there...

Restrictions are not the same all around the world. NZ does fare much better than the rest of the world concerning the pandemic.
We are currently at level 1 (although that might change soon) which means we still have to be cautious but masks are only required on public transport.
