Transliteration: dua 2: Allahumma innii as’aluka wa atawajjahu ilayka bi nabiyyika Muhammad, nabiyyi rahmati. Ya Muhammad inni atawajjahu bika ilaa Rabbii fii haajati hadzihi li tuqdhaa lii Allahumma fashaffi’hu fiyya.
the Dr says it differently, he ommits nabiyyika unless I am mistaken. is this a shorter version he says or?
2:18 اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنِّي تَوَجَّهْتُ بِكَ إِلَى رَبِّي فِي حَاجَتِي هَذِهِ فَتُقْضَى لِي اللَّهُمَّ شَفِعْهُ فِي
Transliteration: Dua 1
Laaa i-la-ha il-lal-la-hul-Ha-leemul kareem.
Sub-hanallahi rabi-bil `arshil `azeem.
Wal-Hamdu-lil-la-hi rabbil-`Alameen.
As’aluka muji-bati rah-ma-tik, wa `a-zaaa ‘i-ma mag-fira-tik, wal gha-nee-mata min kul-li birr, was-sa-la-mata min kul-li ithm.
La ta-da` li dhan-ban il-la gha-far-tah, wala ham-man il-la far-raj-tah, wala day-nan il-la ka-day-tah, wala hajatam-min ha-wa i-jid-dunya wal-aaa-khi-rah.
He-ya laka ri-dan il-la qa-day-taha yaaa ar-ha-mar-ra-he-meen.

The second dua is giving me a lot of doubt, is it from a hadith if yes is it from the strong or weak narrations

I've heard some scholars and teachers say that this is from a weak hadith. I would love it if you could expand on it a bit more. I've always heard that praying two normal voluntary raka'at will suffice when you're in need and then you can make whatever Du'a you want for your situation.
As salamu alaykum, the hadith was narrated with an authentic chain from Imam Ahmad. You can make whatever dua you want for your situation, as you suggestion, however this may be a considered an adab of dua that may draw you closer to Allah when making your dua, because of mention of HIs Beloved صلى الله عليه.و سلم
@@celestialsignal thanks for the reply. However, I’m referring to the prayer itself; I don’t find an issue with the Dua’a. It’s a different prayer than how we normally pray. Do you recite the Du’a instead of Qur’an while praying?
@@anregung Assalamualaikum lsn you can just pray 2 Rakat nafl prayer with the intention of your dua (the prayer is like normal prayer routine) usually this prayer is known as *Salat ul hajjat* after finishing the prayer you can read the following dua

La tada` li dhanban illa ghafartahu, wala hamman illa farajtahu, wala hajatan hiya laka ridan illa qadaytaha ya arhama ar-rahimeen.
(There is no god but Allah, the Ever-Clement, the Most Generous. I celebrate the Glory of Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne. All praise and thanks are due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I beseech you, seeking that which will draw me closer to Your mercy, and that which will make certain for me Your Forgiveness. O Allah, grant me protection against any sin, and a share of every virtue. Do not leave me a sin without forgiving it, a worry without relieving me of it, or a need that meets with Your pleasure without providing for it, O Most Merciful Lord.)

Tirmidhi relates, through his chain of narrators from ‘Uthman ibn Hunayf, that a blind man came to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and said, “I’ve been afflicted in my eyesight, so please pray to Allah for me.” The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “Go make ablution (wudu), perform two rak’as of prayer, and then say:
“Oh Allah, I ask You and turn to You through my Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy; O Muhammad (Ya Muhammad), I seek your intercession with my Lord for the return of my eyesight [and in another version: “for my need, that it may be fulfilled. O Allah, grant him intercession for me”].”
The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) added, “And if there is some need, do the same.”
