- At our Big Air Bash, we brought out the 5B to see how far it could go, and what we could break. It's amazing that after all this abuse, we didn't break anything! Nobody could believe that the HPI 5B took everything we dished out. Check www.BigSquidRC.com for more details on the long jump event! BTW: we jumped 62 feet 9 inches with it!
HPI's large scale stuff is nearly indestructible their 1/5 scales and Savage XL are the toughest RC's I have ever seen, I own a Savage Octane, and I beat the crap out of it, nothing breaks besides the body getting a few scuffs, but not even cracks on the body! The boys at HPI know how to build an RC and do it right! and I hope they never change a thing!

we did have the radar gun on it and it was between 35 and 40mph

Who says you can't bash with a 5b. I've bashed the shit out of mine with no problems and Mine is a lot faster than this one. I've landed on hard flat ground jumping a good 10-15 feet in the air and nothing breaks.

You can bash any type of RC including HPI Bajas, Its just that the Baja wont break as much often then as regular RCs will, There are Strong, Then there are HPI Baja 5B Strong lol

you could of got a way nicer run with that 5B it's running way to fat .. you can hear when he tries to do donuts it bogs down and has no balls, that thing should be shredding those stock tires ..
fit a 2 speed to it then u can get some air!

That buggy sounds rich and lean at the same time, most be a deformed clutch ring. Next time use 4 stroke oil, and install a Walbro X912032 with triple diagram double whopper junior.
& BTW, mine is much much faster with a OBR V.2 titanium monocoque block.
