Wild Elephant Encounter At Gavi

Video shot by me on a trip to Gavi(Pathanamthitta) with my family. Journey in a KSRTC bus. We met a herd of Elephants including baby elephants. This video shows an elder elephant protecting the younger ones from an impending danger. The experienced KSRTC driver takes necessary precautions by keeping the rev ON to avoid it's charging and ensured the safety of the passengers.

@@ashiquea1007 Both engine race and turned off condition works in different circumstances, whether the elephant is in attacking mode or not. Experienced drivers (especially the one and only bus in that route) can sense the change and act accordingly.

Its the sound of KSRTC bus..its a common scene in Gavi route. What else can be done to keep locals safe from wild animals during these unexpected situations? There used to be just 2 buses in a day which mostly locals rely upon and the number of private vehicles which were allowed were very limited. We heard that now due to pandemic they have stopped bus services completely.
