  • This case study looks at Electropalatographic technology developed at QMU which is changing lives.
Lily Davidson was born very prematurely. The strong medication she was given in the days and weeks following her birth resulted in profound hearing loss.
Despite having a cochlear implant fitted, Lily still struggled with her speech through her formative years and found even saying her own name to be problematic. Thanks to the intervention of speech therapists at Queen Margaret University (QMU) and the use of a technology called Electropalatography (EPG), Lily has grown in leaps and bounds.
    This is her story.
