Alexis and the Samurai = Alexis Marceaux and Sam Craft
FYI - Alexis Marceaux with brothers Sam and Jack Craft (+ 4 others) who share French heritage have another band called SWEET CRUDE - a deeply rooted Louisiana band in nontraditional ways who sing, write and play joyous, inventive pop songs that feature lyrics in both English and Louisiana French, aka Cajun French whose sonic scaffolding is built of vocal ensemble, five drummers, violin, keyboards and occasional trumpet Sweet Crude - Mon Esprit at the Marigny Opera House in Bywater New Orleans czcams.com/video/SeZF88iEhlA/video.html

they have nice voices but i just cant get down to hipster music , its like music thats having an identity crises. also with the songwriting is just bland on top of bland with nice harmonies. i dont get it. the most confusing shit ever haha.

saying that this music is having an identity crisis is just stating that your listening brain is stuck in your own concepts which are dictating how the music you listen to is "supposed" to sound and fall in certain genres. Keep listening and don't give in so easily to your conditioning. If you're really stuck bad, your only way out might be too eat some mushrooms.

frwhitejr12 na , you don't get to make the rules pal. your new to the game.the rules have been set so you can't come in making bullshit concepts up. the best music comes from gritty lived raw passion and emotional. or thoughtful concepts. not a bunch of hipsters borrowing a bunch of styles while giving nothing of themselves or substance. OR maybe they have nothing of themselves to give to a song. with lives lived indoors and with safety nets and bumper lanes everywhere
