Mysore Rasam Powder And Rasam Recipe|Tasty|Brahmin Iyengar Style|

  • Procedure to make Rasam:
    Add ½ tsp oil
    Add little hing
    1 spoon Fenugreek seeds
    1 spoon mustard seeds
    1 spoon pepper
    4 spoons jeera
    8 spoons Coriander seeds
    Little bit of curry leaves
    3 dry red chillis
    Roast all the above items, let them cool and grind them into fine powder. Rasam Powder is ready.
    In a Vessel Ads Boiled Toor Dal (I've taken 1½ cup of boiled toor dal)
    Add tomatoes
    Add curry leaves
    Add Crystal Salt
    Let them all boil for sometime
    Take required amount of rasam powder (2-3 tablespoons) grind it with some coconut and add it to the boiling dal
    After all this boils we'll add very little tamarind water and a lemon sized jaggery. Wait for 3-4 minutes and our Rasam is done.Garnish with coriander leaves.
    For tampering, Take 1 spoon ghee,add mustard seeds and jeera,once it splatters, add it to the Rasam.
    Our yummy and tasty Mysore Rasam is Ready.
