    You should have just ignored that 3 mile segment to your TOD. in cruise, its 1 minute, does not affect fuel burn and just clutters up your map/paperwork. You're making unnecessary work in the air. ALSO you forget to mention to double check that you are on the SECTIONAL scale/side of the plotter. Many plotters have WAC and SECTIONAL sides and they are completely different scales.
