If you have the last blackberry phone you will also always have the lastest model.
Mindblown!
Cooolest logo than huawei Mi Vi
no shit hugh! 😂
I have classic and i love it more than any model yet..
but they killed kt
Facts
I always loved the name of the brand itself.. "blackberry" makes me mad that it's now just a joke in the eyes of others, I'd love a brand new super advanced one, and the ability to say "I have a blackberry" again, as a phone that's better than what I currently got, which isn't the case sadly.
Let's do some magic and get back the Era of Nokia and Blackberry In 2023
Love from India
I agree, I miss physical keyboards on devices. Samsung had a cool phone where the keyboard popped out from the side. I wish someone would come up with that form factor again, the sideways slideout keyboard.
There's the F(x)tec Pro1 X which has that sort of keyboard, and it's coming out next month. Hella expensive though, unfortunately, and no headphone jack
I got one of those unihertz and it's as close to BlackBerry as you can get. Priced right too.
@@aimlesslydriftingcloud3457 you took my comment from me, ill never forgive you, :-),, although yes there is the fxtec pro1 x also there is the cosmo communicator and the something called the astro slide, and something else called the gemini pda, think that's what it's called, i personally want the fxtec Pro 1 X slider, that does have a headphone jack, , ,,, ill be saving up for that, i don't know if ill ever be able to forgive you still,
Hehe,
Merry Christmas 🤶
That was an optional accesory in samsung S8 and it really was cool wish they had innovated it into something common
I still have my Passport but it's inuasble. Apps don't work anymore so I just keep it for fun and memories.
This is the best phone I've ever had. 4 yrs going strong
Where can I buy one?
@@WIIICCITYDoowopeBay
Elon Musk should buy Blackberry next, and rebuild it from the ground up.
You mean run into the ground lol
Let that sink in… *destroys Twitter*… man that sure was HIGHLARYIOUS
Well, he can just create his own brand...
Yes and should have a subscription service for 7$ called blue berry
And then fire all the employees and make it worse than it was before
Great video Sam! I love how you can make these informative kinda videos funny.
I have friends who prefer the phone with an external keyboard, and they always have blackberries. I think it will be nice if some manufacturer brings an external keyboard in their phones to have a market for my friends as well
the brand unihertz has copied the style of the blackberry passport. Dont know how it turned out in the end. And it is a chinese phone. so security is right out of the window from the start
There is the f(x)tec pro
well the market has spoken and demand for blackberry wasnt enough to keep it alive.
I don't have it but there's the Unihertz TItan Slim which is very similar to this phone.
Unihertz offers 3 models currently, and there might be a 4th down the road. I have the Titan and it's wonderful.
I got my very last BB in 2007. I LOVED it. Ah, memories.
Yes, but not that much to use it after 2007, when the best BBs appeared.
Blackberry just turned into an older galaxy note with a keyboard😮
Lol the sarcophagus jokes and sound effect were like my favorite Sam moment ever I think. So hilarious. Thanks Sam. "Let's exhume it." hahahahahah
Very informative and fun to watch video. Good job mate. Good on you
I scored one recently from China!! Was so excited, really!!! I LOVE my blackberry, especially the raised keyboard. Camera not so much! My kids are so appalled!!
I miss my Blackberries. My first was for work. Loved it. And since I hated Apple's too-cool-for-school marketing, I used them for my personal cell when I switched from flip-phone to smart-phone. Plus, the data plan was way less for the Blackberry for whatever reason. To this day, I miss the physical keyboard because I fat-finger all the time on my Androids.
BlackBerrys downfall was it’s hardcore fan base the “crackberry” users, who kept demanding that blackberry sticks to its outdated hardware and software design and the executives stupid enough to listen to them and mock iPhones for being toys.
I used to love my blackberry but as soon as the first iPhone was launched and got my hands on one it was clear as day that BB would be in the mud if they didn’t change, which they didn’t until it was way too late-2013.
Great video as always
Why is this guy not getting more views ........
He's pure magic♥️♥️♥️
Best unboxing that I have seen in awhile😜
02:00 As propietary as BlackBerry was in its hayday, even requiring that you get special subscriptions from your cell provider to use the damn things, they never resorted to clinging to a proprietary charging cables! (The oldest BBs I know all had Mini-USB ports and chargers in the early 2000s.)
I loved this thing. Still don't like stroking on glass to write words on a phone. Nothing beats the haptic feedback of real keys.
Tactile feedback*
@@SmithsonJackson It's a joke you know.
I've been a BB user since the early 2000s. Last year I received a notice that the BB phones will no longer work with my network. I was forced to purchase a new phone. I've since been looking for another company with physical QWERTY keyboard with no luck. Unihertz only works with Verizon and T-Mobile
I can still use my Key2 on Tello, a MVNO of T-Mobile (ultra cheap too).
BlackBerry Key2 looks so good it just --- too bad it just wasn't compatible with my service provider. I would buy a PKB phone by BlackBerry anytime it makes a comeback.
It's hard too think thate was a time whare blackberry was like the 3rd main pillar of the smartphone industry, and now their gone
They used to be first. They were number 1 ahead of Samsung and Apple. Back around 2007 they owned 50% of the market.
Apple is next
Times changed, not just the phones. BlackBerries were known as businessmen's phones, with doc programs and email. Most phones now have that, and so many people just text rather than email. BlackBerry 10 was an elegant OS but is sadly a thing of the past.
The LE version of the Key 2 came later but it was a cheaper cut down model of the regular Key 2 iirc.
I've had a Key2 or over 4 years and it's an amazing phone. I bought a 2nd one 6 months later and it sits inside an unopened box because there is no other phone I consider better.
i want what youre smoking
@@sktx3628 Do you have anything relevant to say?
@@Dan210871 he doesn't
I also have 2 KEY2s.
Best review ever 👏🏻
it was so sad, when i saw the news the Blackberry had no longer making phone in 2023. Blackberry CEO had decided stop their project to make the phone. I'm Blackberry fan for so many years ago. I'm still have a Blackberry Classic Q20. It was very durability to use it for long time. Even though, it went through after 9 years, and it had totally work perfect. I love how did they made Blackberry model? I hope Blackberry will be back on someday with another project to keep going make the phone.
Best unboxing video ever!
I just replaced the broken battery on my wife's old key2 and its a great phone, I had keyone black so never used the key2, might start using it now instead on my flip3
Hei Mister Sam, great video !❤
So jealous watching this on my samsung that opens the notifications everytime I swipe down 😭
Lmao the blackberry sarcophagus comment sent me 🤣🤣
Daily'd between a Priv and a key1 until just a couple months ago, when I finally got a pixel 6a. Key2 for me looked and felt worse than the k1 so I didn't kept it
A lot of people are forgetting that this company was the foundations for apple and Samsung. So sad BB went broke. As they solid built/quality devices. Remember when they all included cases etc. miss the BB era as no other phone of the time beat it.
Same for LG & HTC.
They didn’t go broke, they are 4+ billion cyber security company.
Do you know where the place for repairation for the BB key in Indonesia?
You summed it all, Blackberry just stopped making their phones in 2022, and then we need physical keyboards back. I hope they will make small pocket laptops with integrated phone these days. Writing and phoning on a small-scale Windows desktop is my hecking dream since my teenage period.
I'm tired of writing texts by stroking a glass screen.
Don't know why but though I never used a blackberry phone, i still have some love for it than any other brand and hope that some time in future blackberry shines as it shined in its prime time
Very entertaining video and I love BlackBerry key 2 just bought a new one even though its old
*Epic tutorial indeed!*
I was ready to purchase the new blackberry 5g but sadly they cancelled it.
I used gemini pda until the hinge broke. I can appreciate that blackberry uses less moving parts.
It's like seeing a crackhead take his last ever hit.
Stop being mean
Both my wife and I use the KeyONE 4 GB RAM Edition as our daily driver. The Key2's price never fell and it is hardly different from the KeyONE. Recently got the Samsung Note 9 with its nice stylus features, but the KeyONE is still master when it comes to typing a lot of text.
Sam, you inspired me to swap my Q10/Android combo, back to the KeyOne! Oh, of course I can't deal with the BlackBerry launcher- it's unbearably slow..Action launcher is far quicker.
Where can we buy one?
I had a blackberry 9330, even when the battery was super low like 5% , I had a call with my friend for 2 hours. Once the call got disconnected , the phone showed warning and switched off. The best phone I have used so far , out of 8 phones.
Why don't you have the Titan Slim yet? It's Sam Time that you covered it already...
Where I can buy this phone
I use a Key2 from the past almost 4 years, still working great, battery still last all day in full use, I just hope BlackBerry would come back with new phones.
likewise here.
i'm sick of all those touch-screen only phones.
OS doesn’t still update though eh ?
@@gendoruwo6322 I’m pretty content with my iPhone iPad and watch
when the Key2 came out, I brought one to replace my KeyOne - and sold it within 24 hours. The Key2 buttons just felt wrong, they just bottomed out after they 'clicked'. Not everyone liked the glossy KeyOne keyboard however.(Except me)
Brought
Try the KeyOne Black ltd. Its right in betweem the Key1 and Key2.
I wanted this phone so bad but the specs weren't hitting it for me
"I think google slightly wins" 🤣
Can you still use any of the latest blackberry today?
There is a movie about how Blackberry began, and I definitely recommend it. It's called BlackBerry.
9:55 "google slightly wins" LOLLLLLLLLLLL
I also love physical keyboards!
I used my Motorola Milestone 7 Jears long.
Still Daily Driver, top shelf performance from day one...signing off for Original Unihertz Titan
so funny... great... I have to discover your channel
"Install firmware I haven't even connected to wifi" 😂😂😂
4:11 "how do they feel? Ooh! Physical keyboards need to make a comeback!"
Some companies like Nokia and BlackBerry failed to understand the new market trends, refused to adapt to new technologies, refused to change and thus vanished. Nokia refused to recognize Android and BlackBerry refused to give up traditional looks. Samsung made some great changes since its Galaxy line. Apple may also face same in the future in very long run.
do consider - Unihertz titan slim.
Bring back physical keyboard to smartphone! Or at least they should start making them like the old Sony Ericcson P series where you can have it as accessory?
still dreaming about my passport I sold after 2 years of usage. That was handsdown THE best smartphone
Can we still use it today in 2023 if I were to buy a new one now?
Blackberry could have done well in the modern world today. But chose to fiddle their thumbs for years as Apple and android continued to eat up market share. They waited until 2013 to make a serious change with their blackberry 10 OS. That was 6 years after the first iPhone and 5 after the first android. By then it was too late and so much market share was taken up by the big 2. If they took apple and google more seriously years earlier they’d probably had still been around, thriving, and still had a good chunk of the market share today.
This! So much!
@@patrickfiola1797 thank you! Ha as much as I love my iPhone I would like there to be good third options to the big 2. I think Nokia’s Symbian would have done well if not for Nokia splitting the OS in two and having different teams working on them instead of one mobile OS. I tinkered with the Amazon fire phone when it came out and I can tell you the UI was awful lol
@@censoredbyyoutubeagain4569 I agree with you completely, I was really looking forward to the onward mobility device, but that wasn't meant to be I guess.i don't know about you, but I hate typing on glass! 😂
but i saw that they are still making new phones they have blackberry aurora might come in 2023
i have the Blacberry bold....works perfect with my 2nd sim
I miss so much Blackberry
7:27 We wear cool suits, we wear shiny shoes, we're the blackberry boys. We're the blackberry boys.
to be honest, IF Blackberry did a foldable, where there is a physical keyboard on the outside and full touchscreen inside. id buy it.
That would be the best fold phone
What's Sam's connection with Romania?
Also, I am still using BlackBerry KeyOne, black edition since 2018. Apart from the security, I have no issues. And with some apps, there's screen ratio issue, but it's okay.
He moved to Romania.
🤣
@@Tam33m Really ? Why ?
Full key 2... Still my daily driver... Love it
No doubt bro. 4 yrs and counting best phone ever
Do you think there’s any more left?
I am hopin blackberry comes back with the keyboards. I loved my blackberry
i am a BlackBerry fan since 2006 when i first got one. i switched to iPhone in 2012 ..
I want blackberry where I buy this
I am still using keyone from 2017.
I'd have to return and get a different one asap. That screen on the key2 was absolutely horrible
Nice vid❤
I'm still using a KEY2 without any issues, a great phone!
Same here 3+ years still as smooth as it was the day I bought it
Honestly there's no need to keep upgrading these phones as they still work fine.
When was the last OS update ?
@@mikeandroid3512 I don't know but mine is running Android 8. Outdated, yes, but still works fine.
Tech Spurt mentioned!!!!!!
beginning: "man, i do miss a physical keyboard; how do i get one of those?"
ending: "swiping is way better than a physical keyboard most of the time; how do we get autocorrect to quit changing words to be wrong?"
U gotta put it in a museum in 2050!
Next do these phones vs a cheap generic Android phone!
Hahaha.......you nailed it.
I just want a key3 le with modern specs
Could be a nice accesory to teslas as the key and some controls
you can show blackberry Vienna 5g
But we missed the keyboard in blackberry now i have blackberry q 10
I have a blackberry myself but its laggy
I like that you're sponsored by RO sites now!
U did not know that the key 2 flashed people??
Someone : GUYS I FUNALLY FIND MY BLUEBERRY
EVERYONE : IT'S BLACK BERRY DAMN IT
man iphone and android need a blackberry hub like app.
U funny so imma sub
Imma smoke n watch ya videos gang
FYI it was NOT the last BlackBerry ever made.. It was the last model yes but last one produced? Nope, that honor goes to BlackBerry Evolve it was produced 15 days longer than the Key2 ;)
I'm using a BlackBerry KEY2 LE daily for 4 years already. I don't want a new phone at all.
I disagree that the google voice assistant: the blackberry voice assistant had everything I want in a voice assistant.
I could buy this if price is right, quite expensive for the offering.
I just use this for chat related device.
Maybe I can talk my company into buying Blackberry.
