Vickie is very brave, and very inspiring, young lady.
I have just viewed her own video, which is very helpful. Thank you again Vickie.
My 9yo daughter has an spc and a colostomy post a traumatic accident. She has found both really easy to cope with apart from catheter changes as she needs a general anaesthetic due to anxiety surrounding medical procedures after months of hospitalisation.
I had a SPC placed in 2020. And it’s really great that I’m now finding all this information.
During the day i just plug up the end,but after half hour my heart is beating fast and headache. Please help please reply

Vickie's attitude and her insight is wonderful. I am still getting used to my SPC and I found her very helpful...Thank You!!

I just thinking to have SPC as at the moment quite often to have blocked and an infection…. but I don’t know what to say to my oncologist or gynaecologist… SPC seems manageable I’m so I can easily working not in and off every time my catheter blocked and infection always with a fever…. 🥺
well done you lovely lady… all the best for you… 👍🏻💐😍
Thank you! Personally i found a SPC more maintainable then a urethral catheter, if you have any questions im here x

Hi there, I have had my SPC for approximately 5 years and would be interested in being on 'continence chat' I am in Australia so not sure whether this would be a big thing but I feel like I have a bit of a unique story when it comes to my SPC etc If you could give me any further details about how I could be on the show, that would be awesome. Thank you again.
I know vickie we have the same conditions. I'm at the beginning of seeing people 'm in the position vicki was. Well done vickie
Thank you Millie! I hope you're doing well, if you have any questions throughout your journey, feel free to message me on facebook x
Thanks for watching Millie!
I’m in month 4 of my new SP ... I used to intermittent cath (male) but over 32 yrs ruined that access ... Now... I was hoping for a little better performance from leaks. I can’t go without being connected to a leg/night bag for just minutes without leaking out manhood &or SP entry hole. Super frustrating!
Hello, have you tried Hyacyst instillations? i also suffer with urinary urgency and incontinence, I’ve been doing hyacyst with my spc for about a year! and highly recommend it
OMG you did IC for 32 years??? Why can't you IC anymore? Scar tissue? Pain? Closed urethra? I can't even imagine. I thought my over one year of IC was a lot. It was torture every time. How old when you started IC? So sorry to hear this. SPC is so much better (in many ways except the freedom of not having a tube dangling out of you that can get caught on something.)
How do you control your caffiter spasm pain after peeing
I am 53 with inflammation on the spine paralysed and I have a catheter but it constantly comes out ever day so depressing Angela
my line gets build up then it blocks line to day bag,how can you fix this without resorting a trip to hospital or GP
I have a neurogenic bladder. I was self cath’ing up to 8x per day. I got very sick in February of this year and they decided to proceed with a SPC. I’m having horrible bladder spasms. They are so intense that I lose control of my bladder. I wear diapers now. I’m also young.
Have your spasm gotten better and are you still using the SPC? I have cerebral palsy and use intermittent catheterization several times a day and considering SPC any Advice?
Is it still working out for you better or worse than cic
Hi Tina! I highly recommend kentra patches (of course please go through your GP) I also do hyacyst instillations and honestly now only get spasms if I have a bad infection! Please follow my Instagram just tricky for more spc advice 💕 you are not alone!
Hi Matt, Vickie here! I absolutely love flo my spc and highly recommend it over self cathing/urethral catheters! (Of course everyone’s different)
Flo (my spc) gave me a quality of life! If you want to know more about SPC I’ve done a CZcams video! As well as lots of posts which are available on Instagram and Facebook all my social media is under ‘just tricky’
Please help During the day i just plug (spc catheter)up the end,but after half hour my heart is beating fast and headache. Please help please reply
Thank you xx
I’m feeling forced into it freightened by the idea would like to talk to other catheter users
They have talked about SPC I am autistic and manual wheelchair user i feel I’m being given no other option
I am concerned about sensory aspect
I've had an spc. In the past but it never healed right. Had. Interstim which worked. For. Over a decade then it just stopped. The stimulator I have in now is good but my nerves are not responding. I'm not. Incontinent but have the problem. Of. Retention. Me and my urologist are trying to decide what to do now.
I stumble upon this channel, any advice on how you people with suprapubic catheter to be able to protect it during bathing ( shower/ beach).
Please advise. I just want my husband to enjoy being with us on the beach...
Hello Anna, Vickie here🥰 I highly recommend belly bags for the beach!
As for bathing I love having a bath with Flo my spc! i use a night bag and drape it over the bath, there is no pain involved, you can experience a spasm or two if the water is too hot so I recommend starting off with warm water!
I have an Instagram account where I talk all things SPC as well as a Facebook and CZcams channel! All are ‘just tricky’ 💕
Make sure to leave a thumbs up and subscribe if you enjoyed this chat!

Hi Kelli, the facebook group can be found here: facebook.com/groups/275260379940402/
I also highly recommend following a lot of the girls on Instagram (if you have it)
Mines just tricky x
Why do you have a bag,you can have a tap which you just use every few hours
Can I ask why you didn’t have the botox
Typical, no education when getting SPC.
