Wow just found your channel. I am one month out from surgery. I was diagnosed with an anterior mediastinal thymoma. I am doing well just extremely sore still. So glad to find your videos and to see you are doing well. Do you find yourself getting sad or depressed just crying sometimes after the surgery?

Sarah Likestobelittlespoon did you end up needing radiation therapy and was the pathology confirmed to be benign ? Im also 29 years old i live in Ontario canada 🇨🇦 im so afraid its cancer
@@justwanabebeautiful the pathology was confirmed benign as in there were no cancer cells. The cells had spread to the edge of the membrane. I was passed to an oncologist and we discussed radiation. The surgeon felt like he got it all and the pathologist agreed so I decided not to go through with it. The negatives of radiation and getting a secondary aggressive cancer from it were too high to do it on a maybe. Plus once you ve had radiation on an area you cant have it again so I didn't want to limit my options in the future. There is great debate whether a thymoma is or isn't cancer ...but my oncologist said it wasn't and my doctor said it wasn't and my insurance refused to pay out saying it wasn't so I'm going with them.
Sarah Likestobelittlespoon Thank you I think you are a lovely positive person, you have shared your experience openly. I very much admire you for sharing your valuable information with everyone. Stay strong and wish you a speedy recovery.

Dear Sarah, mine is also that big... I'm supposed to do chemo first to get better resection margins. You did chemo? How are you now?
