I love the Paridae family. Smart, social, vocal, energetic, brave, curious birds. An interesting fact about the family is that it's the third smartest bird family in the world. What seems to amaze me about Titmice and the Crested Tit are how brave and aggressive they are vs Chickadees and numerous other Tits. I've seen many videos of Tufted Titmice, Oak Titmice, and Crested Tits dominating feeders, attacking squirrels at feeders, getting close to perched raptors, and perching around a raptor's nest.
The Black-capped Chickadee is a smart, sweet, cute bird while the Tufted Titmouse is a cute, energetic, brave, funny bird.

My weirdest encounter with a tit involved a long-tailed tit kocking itself out on the terrace door (something that has never happend before or since in the house's 30-ish year life), making me look out for cats while it "rebooted"

Mouse here is related to the German "Meise" and not the German "Maus". In English, the spelling and pronunciation of both merged.
