  • In 2006, BMW reproduced a classic 2002 Tii, using a glass workshop near it's Munich headquarters for some of the assembly. This is a documentary of the process, including full restoration work, parts research, TUV inspection, driving & interior footage, the vehicle's first showing at Techno Classica 2006 in Essen and commentary by BMW employees (German only).

    Wahsinn, das ist perfekt, frage mich wie einer den Daumen nach unten zeigt was das Video angeht. Selber kann er wohl nix, aber meckern. Mein Respekt vor der Leistung !

    Once that 2002, is fully restored, with the original orange color all the vynil & leather, it is going to be spectacular,👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌

    some details are screwed/bolted on just for the filming perhaps, as they don't use lubrication on, for example, break disk bearings. Also, he didn't connect the turn signal cable before screwing it in. Neither did they put any gasket or maybe silicone between the tail lights and the body - a nice spot for rust to start.

    34:50 They put the bearings in dry. I wonder why they don't they grease the bearings?

      Haha the only problem without much money is figuring out how to spend it all! This is a good way to spend quite a lot of it!
