    You are so mature, I know you had to grow up really quick and everything changed in an instant… you literally had no time to prepare but God definitely chose you bc of how level headed, mature and driven you are. You are definitely being given a platform to help and inspire others. I am excited to go along on this journey with you !! I love that you have goals but also take things day by day and celebrate every little accomplishment!! Much love Kelle from Louisville Kentucky

When you blow up, just remember that some people are weirdos and will have negative things to say. Disregard it and stay true to yourself. There will be more love than hate and that's what you should focus on. Most importantly, have fun. You're beautiful and I really enjoy your videos 🙂

    As new parents you and Nathan are so doing great, focussing on finishing school is wonderful. Self-care is important, especially with post partum, shock of having a baby, preclampsia which is very life threatening, healing from trauma of second degree tearing and Instantly adjusting to the combination of it all. Thanks for sharing your experiences!! My two cents in case it means anything to you or someone else - don’t forget to keep an eye on iron and ferritin levels if you are now bleeding twice a month! I recently found out I was severely iron deficient (I had super low ferritin numbers, but not all doctors test ferritin levels for whatever reason). Would hate to see it affect your postpartum journey or cause you the debilitating fatigue it has caused me!
    God bless ❤️

    Good for you, it must have been such a traumatic experience. You’re doing so well. Let me tell you, even women who have planned babies and go on maternity leave have good and bad days. That’s the nature of becoming a parent. You have a good support system in place and you’ve got this. I bled for 10 weeks after the birth of both of my babies and then got my period back straight away despite breastfeeding exclusively. It sucked but there it is. As women, we learn to just pull up our socks and get on with it.

    Omg I’m seriously invested in your story. You’ve blown my mind with all this. I’m 33, I’m married and expecting my first child. I swear I love these kinds of stories tho 😂
    I would just want to say this to you, take it as advice from an older sister figure: advocate for your health! Doctors love to prescribe birth control as the end all be all solution, but as others have mentioned, long term, it can cause havoc on your body! The truth is there is not enough research out there to determine how birth control affects our bodies. They tell you it’s fine, but it’s really not. If you have one available in your area, a good resource are NaPro doctors. These guys will actually get to the bottom of this for you. Don’t let them just poof! Put the pill in as the solution to all your problems. Like I said the last time, I’ve just got done telling another girl closer to your age to look out for that, bc it could well be serious.

    • @shannonmaria22
      @shannonmaria22 Před rokem +5

      I completely agree! I was on BC years ago to “treat” my PCOS and it was the worst thing I ever did to my body. The side effects were a million times worse than the symptoms of my condition. Not all of the side effects were sudden and obvious. Some took months to develop, but they were just as dangerous. NEVER AGAIN. Doctors downplay the risks of birth control. What’s funny is most people understand that hormones should not be pumped into our food and yet they don’t bat an eye at pumping women with artificial hormones. So all that being said… I second going to a NaPro doctor and ditching the pill. It’s best to get to the root cause of the condition instead of putting an artificial bandaid on the problem.

    I think you have been incredible in how you have dealt with everything!
    Are you tall? Or do you have a long torso? I have a tall friend who didn’t know she was pregnant until she was 20 weeks. She was very athletic and had a six pack, and her baby was sitting further back and length ways. Even at 38 weeks she still didn’t look pregnant (we could tell she was because we knew, but she just looked bloated). So I am always curious if this is more likely to happen to tall women!

    So great that you are getting counseling 🙂. You may have PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome. Birth control pills won't fix this issue but I understand that you don't want to get pregnant again soon. Lifestyle and dietary changes can improve the frequency of ovulation for you. You will need to begin ovulating in order to get pregnant in the future. It's amazing that you got pregnant the only time you ever ovulated (that seems to be what happened in your case).

    Can you tell us how you financially support yourself and your baby? I had a baby when I was 17 and my senior year of high school. My parents financially supported me until I graduated high school but then I had to find a job. I tried to also go to college but I couldn’t manage the schedule. We didn’t have virtual classes back then. I finally went back to school at 21. It took me 5 years to graduate but I did it. Financially supporting myself and my son was always a challenge and I worked really hard to do so. This was before social media and back when the internet was new, like dial up. 😆

      I mean, in my experience with high school education of "human growth and development" , they teach you a period happens AFTER you ovulate and the egg isn't fertilized, then it and the uterine lining are shed which causes the monthly bleeding. So it's easy for me to see why people think no period=no ovulation=can't get pregnant.

I seen her a week before birth and never thought she was pregnant at all she didn’t show. I woke up with her mom calling crying, I thought she had a still born. You are not ovulating while taking the hormonal birth control. So those would be breakthrough bleeds and not true periods. The hormones are not regulating anything but preventing ovulation. If you want to fix the issue then you’ll have to find a doctor willing to work on it instead of prescribe hormonal birth control. Good luck!

    • @patriciakeats1621
      @patriciakeats1621 Před rokem

      She probably needs the birth control, therefore not needing ovulation, but the Dr. may want the bleeding regulated…ie so, lining is shed monthly to maintain healthy endometrium.
      Should say so hormones are more regulated which would help maintain a healthy endometrium…it’s true the monthly bleeding on birth control is breakthrough bleeding from week off of hormone pills. Pardon me on what I said. I’m a bit “rusty” on these concepts now.

    • @KMC3050
      @KMC3050 Před rokem +2

      That’s not how hormonal birth control works. Thinning the lining to cause breakthrough bleeding does nothing to regulate any bodily function. It’s just an illusion, but what’s worse is that the hormones are giving her bad side effects. It’s up to her what she does, but it’s important for her to know the difference between actual ovulation followed by menstruation and a pill induced non-period bleed.

    I think it's pretty clear that your body must have just started it's menstrual cycle later in life than usual, and then you were sexually active at the time so the first time you ovulated you got pregnant so there wasn't a chance for you to have your first real period. But it's pretty clear you are fertile and your body is capable of having a cycle so I think you would have gotten a normal regular period after birth and the birth control wasn't necessary. Plus that isn't a real solution anyway as it just artificially induces bleeding, not a real menstrual cycle. I would recommend just going off the pills and let your body do it's thing and most likely you will get a normal menstrual cycle on your own

    So have they given you x-rays or ultrasounds because it sounds like you have a second cervix possibly but only one cervical opening and one vagina so that second bleeding is often from the Fill up of the other side that has no opening if that makes sense

      Yes! My doctor put me on the pill, instead of trying to figure out the cause of my period issues. When I came off the pill 3 years later, I still had period issues, and new problems besides.

    I know you were getting some judgemental comments on your last video for not telling your boyfriend right away. I'm not judging you, I can understand that you were probably in shock and trying to process everything yourself, and I can understand you being mindful of springing that news on your boyfriend when he was at work...but I was wondering how he felt about you waiting to tell him. Did he wish you had called him sooner so he could have been there for you, and the birth?

    Wow, the college professors misogyny is kind of crazy. The reason you bled so long is because your uterus had a wound the size of a placenta. When you don’t rest it can heal and will bleed.
