Hi
I'm poor
Love ur videos
Might have a new career in acting Ryan 😂
As a Texan that survived survived (but almost didn't!) the 'Snowpocalypse'/Deep Freeze event, any mention of changing weather patterns around winter scares the hell outta me now. I hope it stays warm enough in Denton county to not have to worry.
As a snow lover in the Tennessee Appalachians, if it doesn't snow I'm gonna cry.
For real!!!
You might as well move then because those days are over. I’m at 4000 ft and probably won’t see another snow above 6” in my lifetime
It looks like itll be a dry TN for the winter. Evennat high elevsation

It's December 2nd up here in North Central MN, we don't have a SINGLE INCH of snow on the ground. We usually have at least a foot or two at this point. It's so eerie.
Don’t sell yourself short. You are a Magical Weather Wizard. The way you explain things helps me explain to my kids why the weather behaves the way it does.
Ryan is doing what I call "living in your purpose". It's a beautiful gift to humanity! 😊
I like this!
That’s beautiful…..I love it
totally agree

New Englander here! Our winters the last few years have been very disappointing. Hearing we could get an ol' fashion snowstorm again the way we used to have them is so refreshing to hear.
Old Englander here 😊, it's the same here. I can't remember the last time we had some good snow.
Curious I'm in a warm state.. What makes you like snowstorms?

NY State just got 43" of snow - somewhere around Buffalo.
NJ is cold, slight snow fluffy, couple of flakes. However, no SNOW to speak of for years, now.
I’m one of those snow lovers and I’m in the Toledo area of Ohio and it’s so depressing the sheer lack of snow year after year… even saw a snow report on wtol11 about how they discussed the change in snow in the past 30 years and I’m 40 so I remember how much we used to get as a child… I sweep for white Christmas essentially being gone… the weather report said our total snowfall has decreased substantially compared to 30yrs ago but on the days it does snow the avg amount is pretty much the same… which I found shocking but that was an average… the actual numbers are likely different… oddly enough of the two snowfalls we have had this year of fall 2023 we’ve gotten about .5 inch or less which is super rare but that said snow would basically be gone within the next 12hrs anyway… I love winter it’s my favourite season but it seems like anymore all we get are mild winters or freezing cold temperatures with ice and wind and very little snow… the snow is so beautiful and we rarely get it.. or so it seems that way…
We got drenched last Winter in Los Angeles. It rained almost everyday and no sun. Even summer there was no sun. Definitely changes in Weather.
Man we love you and appreciate the support down here in Mississippi. I recently learned it was you who gave my cousin the 10k$ in Rolling Fork. Because of you I was able to let them know that the tornado was coming. Now they’re subs. Your blessings are coming, and thanks for saving lives again.
Thank you Ryan for all the weather updates, you’re my favorite weather guy
💯
Absolutely 👍
great explanation. i live in NJ and between the smoke and the ADHD temperature and rain every weekend, this has been the strangest weather year ive ever experienced
I almost got stranded camping near a swelling lake in central AZ in the spring. Last winter brought us a whole lot of water. As much as I would like to have some monsoon storms in late summer and fall, I will take what I can get. Having the Lower Salt River and Verde River so full for once was pretty nice. I'll take more of that. I grew up with talk of El Nino and hearing so many talk about it again makes me a bit hopeful that this drought might break someday before I die lol.
In Tennessee we already know our winter is in January and February...... sometimes as far out as March. But we're already experiencing lows in the 20's.
We just had a big snow storm in northeast Ohio and we got our first snow day. Now we're gonna be 50 degrees tomorrow.
As always, thank you again, Ryan!!! I continue to learn more in a 10 second segment from your videos/work than any other news or weather source! You're amazing. I wish I could show even more support than just watching and liking.
You *are* a magical weather wizard and don't let anyone tell you any differently!

El Niño is making it crazy! Thanks for telling us about all the weather patterns and storms moving through Georgia. I hope everyone stays safe! Keep it up Ryan! These videos are a lot better than any news channel.
I'm not complaining about getting rain here in East Texas. My area has had lower than average rainfall since it slacked off this spring, even going into moderate drought status again this year.
Best meteorologist on the planet, thank you for being you Ryan Hall. We appreciate your weather forecasts so much, keep it up!!

Thank you Ryan, I live in Rockford outside of Chicago and I always count on you for preparing especially for traveling! Can't even consider travel during bad storms as I have ptsd from an accident. You give me confidence in my planning.
Dec.18th and he has been right. Here in Michigan it has been been much warmer that usual and very little snow. At this time news is showing very heavy rains in N.Y. , N.J. , M.A. with lots of flooded streets and cars. I'm doing great on the farm near Battle Creek.
Thanks for everything you do bud! I am a carpenter and we are always outside and this helps so much! Happy Holidays brother to you and yours! Love ya!
I want you to tell me there's snow coming to Virginia but I love that you don't hype up. You tell the weather as truthful as you can. Never change sir!
We have been having abnormal rain in Florida.
My favorite part of Florida weather is the inch of ice on my windshield every other day from February through March.
I wish it would snow where I am....I miss it.....but it's probably just going to be wet and rainy and not so much of snowy either. it doesn't really snow in the very deep south of GA. If we were up more yes, but ugh...no.....I know some people don't like snow, but me I always loved it. Just something about it was always so nice.
Thanks for the update, Ryan. Your forecasts are so accurate and informative. I am ready for winter.❤
Can't wait for the snow!
I love this channel and how he gets to the point and makes it easy to understand. I'm okay with a warmer December here in the South plains of Texas.

Interesting. Thanks for this video, Ryan!!!
This is the BEST Weather channel! I really appreciate you taking the time to create your videos, keeping us informed and explaining the chain of events in regard to the weather pattern. Thank you!!
Ryan, Mitch West Weather, and MGBC Weather are my top 3 favorite channels to better understand what's behind the weather patterns each season, especially winter! Thank you Ryan and the other 2 I mentioned for doing your best!
I know this is probably not doable, but I’d love to see you do a “short” state specific video every now and then. I always come here to hear about the weather but rarely find any info specific to my region. It’s always general at best.
In April of 1993 we had a tropical storm brew up in the Gulf of Mexico from El Niño system. It was 75 degrees one day. The very next day the tropical storm made landfall in Florida and moved north into Ga. At the same time a cold front dipped further south than normal meeting the tropical storm. Here in Atlanta we had 60+ mph winds tornado warnings massive lightning but the temperature had dropped into the 10s so it was snowing whiteout conditions and dumped about 3 ft on us.
Thanks Ryan for the heads up on our weather here in the South!! Of course, I keep up with the weather across the USA for friends and family and we keep each other aware of something is brewing and we all tune in to your video live streams. You keep weather interesting and I have learned far more about science and weather watching you and your awesome team than I ever did in school. Here in Arkansas, we had a pretty similar weather situation last December. Aside from that one polar blast on Christmas, it was rainy and much warmer than normal for most of the month
Thanks for all that you do!❤
Snow is becoming a more rare event in TN. Growing up in the 90s we had a normal winter with cooler weather starting in October and usually snowing in December through February with some occasionally snow in March.
That’s been my experience next door in Virginia. Things have certainly become more mild in the winter
Same here in Missouri 🤝
Here in the Midwest it’s really starting to remind me of the stories of the 1930’s dustbowl .
Finally someone talking about experiences rather than just praising Ryan a zillion times
I remember having Snow in Georgia as early as Thanksgiving. And not north GA south of the city. 😢
We had snow in central Ohio around Halloween when I was a kid now we don't get any til typically mid Jan to march seldom any on the ground for long.

Hey Ryan, thank you so much for what you do. I love meteorology and thanks to you and others, my passion for it has only increased. From your videos, I’ve learned to read radar and how to predict things better and more accurately than I used to, so again, thank you so so much!!
Thank you for the video as always Ryan! You are the most reliable and straight forward weather person I know! Really appreciate all the info you give us. (And how accurate you can be at times 👀)
Local news is on our local Buffalo TV channels for 1/3rd of the day, Spectrum has a 24hr channel - yet Ryan Hall has a far better success rate than the 50/50 "peeing in the breeze" rate that the local news has. All the while educating me, and giving me a better understanding of how our earth weather is being affected by the solar weather. Fascinating, and part of the reason I pay for a YT subscription over cable - which I haven't had in 7 or 8 years, by choice.
Keep up the great work, Ryan!
I'm in Oregon, where it's quite cold and rainy. It got especially cold towards the end of November. I predict a cold and wet winter, which of course means there is a chance of ice, sleet, snow.
Oregon weather is known for its unpredictable nature, pun intended. 😊
We had a storm last week in central Wyoming that dumped 18 inches of snow and has been in the single digits and below zero for a week now. We usually don't see snow and temps like this until January.
Washington State normally is 40s and 50s with rain. We are dry 20s and 30s.
Ewwww.snow and below zero? Was 86 today. Going to be mid 80’s next 3 days . Then into high 70’s next week. 🥳🥳🥳 yay
Lol that happens all the time in Wyoming in December. It’s not that rare

These jet streams always seem to converge over West Virginia (where I live). We have a saying here: If you don't like the weather in WV, just wait 10 minutes.
Who’s ready for Ryan to upload a snow talk videos❤ thanks Ryan ❤🥳
Thanks for the weather information..
You are more reliable than my local weather Ryan. Thanks. We had a deep freeze on Christmas in W PA last year, which in turn left us with a power outage on Christmas Eve, and me with a frozen pipe from my well. We even saw lightning in a snowstorm, which looked cool. February here is the month I highly despise. That seems to be the time where everything wants to break, and it is the coldest?
You never Fail to impress Ryan, Happy to have you in my life you inspired me to do stuff like you do
I love how last year everyone (Including Ryan) said it would be a mild winter and drier in the south because of La Nina. And we had some of the coldest temperatures on record, 8f in Atlanta, with above average rainfall. And this year it is El nino and supposedly wetter than average, but it has been the driest in the south for years, with barely any rainfall since late August. For example, in Atlanta rainfall is down 40% From last year (you know the la nina year that was supposedly drier than average) so much so we are actually in a drought!
When are we gonna accept that la nina and el nino dichotomy is not effecting the weather the way they are predicting,
Here in Texas it's been a very dry summer and autumn but the last few weeks have brought A LOT of rain.
@@2coolperson we are still in a drought in georgia.
@@aneagleinyourmind2415 la nina was supposed to be drier for you right?

This makes me incredibly sad. I’m from Wisconsin and winter sports have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been in the marines for 4 years and the only time I can come back home in winter is for a couple weeks in December. Looks like it’s gonna be very warm in December in Wisconsin. I haven’t been able to go ice fishing in 3 years, it usually gets cold enough to go by mid January. I just wanna go ice fishing again, I hope it gets cold enough by December for me to go
Sad watching the Winters disappear here
Another thing to note. Since we are nearing solar maximum it will cause the jet stream to have more stability being less likely to dip into the states.
It's really all one ocean with different areas of it. Love your channel. You are the most accurate.
Something that I've noticed over the years is when the northeast gets cold and wet (snowy), the southwest gets warm and dry and vice versa.
As a Wyoming truck driver who has been through Hell and back for the last 4 winters, I am so thankful for this
Precipitation in the winter means snow doesn’t it?
@@cooldud11122 yes
@@cooldud11122Not necessarily. There can be precipitation in the winter time. However, the point at which rain can turn into snow is if the atmospheric temperature is at or below 32°F (0°C). So precipitation doesn’t refer to snow, at all. They are two different things.
@@rylans.5365 I just assumed since winter is pretty cold in Wyoming. I guess it’s been colder in previous years given truck drives have been through hell and back.
The fact that Eastern Canada plummeted to -20C and I'm still sitting in Alberta with like +3C and not a single flake of snow shows how accurate this has been so far. Apparently, my city hasn't had a snow drought since 1928. It's insane.

I'm in central western Arkansas, and it's honestly dissapointing to hear (at least now) that our winter isn't gonna be anything special like more snow than normal or colder than average temperatures. I very much prefer the cold to the insane heat we get for so long in the summer and early fall.
2023 in New Orleans has been a weird one. Record heat this summer, drought conditions and saltwater intrusion up the river. Hurricane season ended yesterday without a single storm threat, and now it's finally raining.
Thanks for sharing. Very informative.
