Mr. Wood, what petition can I sign to have you take on the hosting role permanently? You crushed it smoothly this week. You made it look easy while everyone else struggled.
Exactly!
Seriously I was thinking the same dang thing, bruh is naturally funny.
Yes please they need to listen to the people!
100% he has a comfort at the desk that no one else seemed to have. I feel like he's been hosting for years the way he just sits there and delivers. Everyone else felt a little unnatural.
I think everybody did a great job. Hassan and Roy were my favorite. I hope Roy gets the job.
Roy seems so comfortable behind the desk, AND he's funny. This man should get the gig
If this was his week to audition for the job, I appreciate the fact that he wrote his journalism degree into a segment.
He learned something in college
Nothing but an HBCU could have taught you how to sneak you degree into an on-air interview. BTW-Megan is also an HBCU Grad✊🏾
The best punchline ever: "Because if a four-year degree is going to leave you with crippling debt and people not respecting the degree, then maybe we all owe parking lot T-shirt man an apology. Because it seems like we're all victims of for-profit education."
Yes!!!!!!
Not me reading your comment the same time he said it 🤣🤣🤣
And there it is!

Genius!
Roy Wood Jr has the experience, the class, the jokes, The smarts, and the personality for HOST ❤❤ 🔥 he has held this show up for years
And a Journalism degree!!!!!
Was rooting for Hasan but Roy is hilarious..

This is so funny. Roy Woods Jr. Mom was one of my professors in college. I am so proud of him. I can remember when he was on the radio here on 95.7 Jamz. Him and Ricky Smiley were the morning host. I pray that he has much success with the daily show. #BirminghamAlabamaStrong.
❤
That is pretty cool.
Yes, I would love to have a weekly segment from his mum. Whatever her field is, let us have her wisdom.
@Tiffany Robinson...I hope that they give the hosting job permanently to Roy. I say, promote from within to this deserving man! By the way, what does his mother teach? Just wondering if he's inherited his writing skills.
@@marywood8794 Hi Mom. Get your own segment at the daily show, you deserve it.
As someone with a useful master’s degree and still can’t climb out of debt, that conclusion was perfect 👏
One of the things not mentioned in this segment is how much is still expected of any individual with a 4-year degree to do even after getting the degree in order to get the job they went to college to get. I'm a senior in college and I've done (and am doing) searches for careers in my field that I can use my degree in. What I get told in response almost universally for a job my degree was supposed to be preparing me for is, "You need two years of work experience in a "professional" job in order to get this job you went to college to get."
By "professional," they mean a job title that requires a four-year degree. Except the only way to get those jobs that require those degrees is by working jobs that *don't* require the degree and hope that you can get promoted into a job that requires a degree in a completely different field, work that for two years, all in order to get the experience required for the job that you went to college to get your degree for in the first place.
Oh, and this is completely excluding how a lot of jobs that require those 4 year degrees don't pay nearly as much as they once did in comparison to how much the degree costs.
It would likely be entertaining to learn where you gathered the data to claim jobs "don't pay nearly as much as they once did." Engineering jobs are paying a lot more right out of college today than they have since the 1950s. The same is true for chemistry, math, computer science, physics, and any degree leading to the medical profession. English degrees and the like have been a running joke for all of my 75 years on this earth. At least in California, they were once free to residents, but that was what they were worth, too.
@@TWDay-sy6nq Of course they pay more right out of college today. But not enough to compensate for the ridiculous expense of american colleges, bying a house or higher living expenses in general.
Ah yes, the famous "entry level" + "2-5 experience required". If I need multiple years of experience, it isn't entry level.
I've enjoyed every Guest host so far but if we had to have a permanent one, I'd want Roy to host.
I'm torn between Minhaj and Penn, i'd be happy if Wood get's the seat, but I think I rather have one of the others and keep Wood as corresponded.
I like him too very much, but my favourite so far has been Silverman
We're keeping Roy right? I mean it's obvious isn't it?
Totally agree - Roy the MAN!
Repent to Jesus Christ “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

h
Roy is smooth as silk and so comfortable behind that desk and the laughs keep coming! The others cannot compare. Roy should be the next host.
I predict Roy is the new host of the show..
I was coming to type something similar. I like the host personality a lot more than the sidekick one; Roy In-Charge is pretty solid pacing, I think.
Where I live in Canada, not only do so many jobs expect a Bachelors, they also expect a Masters degree. It’s brutal.
But the most shameful thing is how many colleges are disconnected from what’s actually being asked for in the workplace.
That's why companies end up training their own employees themselves 😉
So why studying in college then ?
When everyone has a bachelors the only thing that can help you to stand out is a masters. The pool of skills has been diluted by this push to get everyone into college.
@@Ender7j
Which is better.
The world is much more complicated, most jobs require you to understand complex stuff, work with computers - wiring a house now or installing heaters requires electronics, often programming. The degree is not about you knowing stuff you need, it's prove that you are able to learn stuff. If you got a bachelor or master, you (in most cases) have proven some capabilities necessary to teach you on the job. It's an easy to use filter for companies to reduce HR cost - like grades. That said, the German system is much better. Not only is higher education free, most jobs like plumbing, nurses, electrician etc. are taught on the job by companies in companies in standardized multi-year education programs. And in that time you already earn money because you work and after 2/3 years you get a degree (basically a bachelor) which is accepted everywhere in Germany and pretty solid world-wide. And if you want, you can study from there (e.g. car mechanic -> engineer bachelor/master) .
@@vanivari359 I think what you state is true for younger people that don't have experience and the only thing that employers can go by is their education history, but it really doesn't make sense that companies continue to require degrees, when you already have lots of relevant experience. Some companies allow experience in place of education, but those are few and far between.
Roy Wood Jr. completely earned the permanent host spot this week, this is the first time I've been excited to tune into the Daily Show in I don't know how long.
Same
While I did my BA in Freiburg, Germany, I had an American flat mate in his Masters with 80.000$ debt already. He said it is cheaper to study abroad than at home. At our Uni, foreign students have to pay 600€ a semester, while it is 165€ for EU Students. What is expensive for uns is a bargain for US Students. Absolutely insane. Greetings from Germany
Greetings fellow Freiburger :) I'm American and decided to pursue an MSc. at the University of Freiburg! However, for my program as an international student, I paid ~1500 per semester, but I consider the experience to be worth every penny and far better than if I did my higher education in the US.
And how great it must be to study and live internationally!
Very welcoming!
That's why I'm trying to get into a German school right now. My debt isn't nearly that bad but I want to go so I can learn what I wanted to in the US. Recently found out my degree choice was a little...troubled from the university (not a scam university just the program was in jeopardy) and I wanted to actually get the teaching and connections I wanted from the start.
Also helps the areas around the university are significantly cheaper than where I live currently. Idaho has become too expensive to live for most people here.
What about all those insane tax rates Europeans have to pay for all these "wonderful socialism"
I spent $80K on in-state schools to get a BA in Chemistry and a MA in Biology--and all the jobs I trained for were moved overseas while I was studying. When I graduated, the biotech hubs had 500 applicants, mostly experienced PhDs from Stanford and Cal, fighting over every entry-level job. They had inside information from competitors, so a fresh grad from redwood country had no chance.
Thanks for sharing your experience. It's even worst when people are the first generation graduating from college.
Science has been in a weird place. They say we're important, but then the jobs... are at colleges.
And the PhDs don’t even get paid over six-figures 😂 It’s a joke mate
I got bs in chemistry
I wanted to go to med school
But know i planing going to computer
Yup, can relate. Bachelor's in Bio/Neuroscience in '06 and the jobs were slim to none when I graduated. Had to move to another city just to find any jobs to apply to. Eventually got pushed out of the field completely when grants dried up in the mid-teens and everyone started moving oversees. I decided to just say f it and become an artist.
I remember the uproar when Jon was leaving The Daily Show and Trevor came in. Tons of folks who thought the whole tone had change, the show was ruined, and/or they would never watch again. However, he made the show his own and frankly for the better in the era of online viewership.
Thrilled to see how every host has seemed almost better than the last and been overwhelmingly accepted while changing the tone a little and highlighting stories more relevant to their backgrounds and perspectives. Roy absolutely deserves and can handle the position, though would love to see the return of a rotating guest host every once in a while, or at least get every guest host to come back in for a piece.
I don't know what the viewership numbers are, I just know I am watching far more during this process.
If Roy is the new host, I'll start watching the full show instead of just the CZcams clips. Bravo man, this is great stuff!
No u won't u still won't have time because u have a collage degree lol
That old video of Roy wearing his father's suit really hits home. I remember wearing my dad's 1 size too small dress shoes to interviews because I didn't own my own pair. My feet were blistered up afterwards.
Thanks for bringing up that memory.
Roy is a natural at this. He is not trying hard, it's just in him to host. Please make Roy the host.
I kinda like the current format but wouldn't be mad at Roy taking over.
I was thinking the same thing! I don't know if he wants it or not but I like him in there over the others I've seen!
Was looking for this comment, 100% agree. I've loved Roy on the show for years in his segments but he's even more brilliant in the full format!
word.
He worked hard and spent a lot of time and money. Don't insult the man.
"the first time, a dude lost a rap battle to himself" savage Roy! 🤣
My favorite segment by Mr RWJ yet. Who doesn't want this man to host the show permanently?! He's fantastic!
And he's even got a degree in Journalism!
Compared to the other guest hosts-It’s not even close! He’s a true natural.
This was an amazing segment and so true because something needs to change about higher education. Getting a degree simply gets you a "leg in the the door" but it doesn't guarantee a job. This is especially true for college graduates with a Bachelor's degree. To be more "competitive," you need to continue your education and get a higher degree. I hate it because I went through and it's such a scam.
Yeah, seems like a case of an older generation assuming that what worked for them, would work for newer generations. Just get a degree, doesn’t matter what. As Roy said, that isn’t special when 40% of the population has one.
Glad people are questioning it and reconsidering a college degree as the entry cost to decently paid work.
(Loved going to college and wouldn’t have done anything different but it should never have been seen as the default!)
College proves you are great at sitting in a chair, taking notes, memorizing, and taking tests.
It does not teach you business acumen, or high pressure work decision making.
I joined the USAF in the emerging field of Computer Operation in the early 80s to later working as a Senior Business Analyst for 30 years…all without a college degree.
So many successful people, never had them, including Bill Gates.
However, it’s better to have one than not, as it gives you a slight advantage. But is it worth it? I don’t think so.
A job I wanted out of college required a masters degree. I got in the field! I became miserable and ended up moving to a position where only a bachelors was required. Go figure 🙄
Yes I agree
It doesn't even get you a leg in the door a lot of the time. Or if it does you're looking around at a bunch of others with their leg in the same door. That's how you end up working for free as an intern. It's so gross.
This man should be the host permanently! He's perfect for the job!
Roy Wood Jr. needs to be the next daily show host. Hands down.
I bypassed college and went for a trade skill; auto mechanic. I spent 25 years working for a company that decided I was no longer needed. I worked up the ranks to management and created a new department before we parted ways.
I am at the age that not many companies are interested in hiring me for a management role because I don’t have a higher education degree or they want me to start at the bottom working a physical capacity.
I am not a lazy individual but my body is beyond its prime and have already torn both rotator cuffs and ruined an elbow. I considered going back to school, but the cost was so substantial that I’d be in debt after my death.
My plan now is to work until I’m no longer able and hope for a quick death thereafter.

Mr. Wood is really excellent. This piece is so well balanced and the ending so perfect you have to be really really great to pull it off so naturally.

He really should. Seems so natural there
Either him or Jordan Klepper are my choice even Ronny Chieng
Definitely.
Agreed
I've been saying this for over 10 years now, having a bachelor's degree now is like having a high school diploma in the 80s, a lot of people have them.
Exactly, so few people mention that.
Bachelor degrees aren't useless so much as they are expected by default.
My BS in Computer Science has done me really well. Sweeping generalizations help no one.
Not all Bachelor's degrees are created equally. Many of them just shouldn't exist at all.
Not as many as you think...
It's only 35%.
I teach in an urban area, the numbers are very small. I grew up in a wasp suburb where 98% attended college (not sure on graduating statistics). America is a big place. There are tons of people not going to college. Heck, there are tons of people with nothing going on. Just depends on how affluent the area is.
@@actuasco Most of the science degrees are not useful but "stepping stones" to masters and doctorates and should be advertised as such.
Reagan proposed implementing tuition for public higher education in 1967
"We have to be selective on who we allow to go through [higher education], "We are in danger of producing an educated proletariat,"
Then he created student loans (College was FREE before Reagan)
The Christian Coalition had a mission to take over school boards, especially in Texas, to control what kids are being taught.
They gutted critical thinking classes... The classes that pose the biggest threat to logical fallacies and theology.
And they have been Demonizing college education...

@Natural. No, college wasn't free back then...but it was Waaaaay more affordable than it is today, and actually worth it.
Thanks sateen. Great analysis.
Wood should be the permanent host. He’s phenomenal and timing is perfect.
I regretted my degree in Education because I had limited options. However, so many places are in need of employees and have been willing to accept a wide range of college degrees. I found myself able to apply to many different jobs this past year.
Also, so many places require a degree to make enough to just be able to pay your rent. My income is more than the average household and I struggle financially. I can’t imagine how hard it it is for minimum wage workers.
Roy talks about the Jamaican nightclub situation on T-Pain’s podcast. Absolutely hilarious. 😂
Please make this brilliant man, Roy Wood Jr, permanent host. He has depth and subtlety along with being really funny.
Roy, you make the think and laugh at the same time. You’re truly talented.
If European countries can provide free college education not only to their own residents but also to ours, why can’t the United States? All state colleges and universities should be funded entirely with taxes and free for everyone to attend.
"Because the USA is the best country in the world, so there is no point in changing," say the people enriching themselves with the education system.
Because the US likes to siphon all the money they can out of everyone and we don't regulate industry or business in this country. So education is important but not important enough to care about.
Basically, we are a "I did it so why can't you" society.
Because we like to private everything and give the decisions to the owners.
Not all countries in Europe have free college education, some of the best schools are expensive but it's not as ridiculously expensive as in the US though...
That is easy to answer. REPUBLICANS don't want Americans to have ANYTHING free.
Comedy Central, we have found our champion. Roy gets the gig.
How do I explain my college education? I went with a clear plan to become a teacher. I started right after high school and was told by professors right out of the gate that what I was going for was low paying and hard to get into (the numbers I was given was 25% would probably get a job of the 100's in the room). I went forward anyway because it is what I wanted to do. I took classes that had nothing to do with my career. I literally had to take a class about learning more about my college along with art and philosophy courses that have definitely not helped much in life. Ended up taking 5 years of my life to finally get done and took me a very crowded last semester (student teaching, classes, and an independent study) just so I could stay on my program and graduate that year. I learned a lot of things that have helped me as a person grow. I also wrote more papers than I would ever want to again, and most of what I did really soured my interest in ever going back.
I did all of this so I could take 4 tests that I could have taken at any time so I could be certified to actually teach. That is the best way to sum it all up. I went for 5 years to take a test that took 2 hours and hit a bunch of info I already knew or was able to piece together from the multiple choice answers. At the end of all of this, I never did get that teaching job. I tried a lot but was unwilling to move too far away from home due to the debt I had already accumulated. To add insult to injury, I couldn't seem to get other jobs to line up with my degree either due to many seeming to feel I didn't have the experience or skills necessary. I ultimately ended up taking a job that I could have gotten right out of high school. It pays well and has paid off my loan and has allowed me to live the best life possible. When the worst thing I experience is soreness and boredom, I consider myself pretty fortunate.
There are many things offered at college that shouldn't exist. All they do is cost money and don't guarantee jobs. The way they get you is by having you go into them right after high school, when you have almost no real-life experience.
If I were to make any recommendations to any high schoolers, it would be this. Go to work out of high school. Get out of your parents' house or at least start picking up responsibilities as an adult. Experience the real world, and then really sit down and explore your options. You should be approaching this as an adult with reason and a plan, not as a child still having their decisions made by their parents. School should not be the only environment outside of the home you have ever really experienced.
“School should not be the only environment outside of the home you have ever really experienced”
Profound truth.

Schools have to let kids know about trades. I’ve worked as an electrician since graduating high school and I love it. I couldn’t imagine my life not working a trade. Your constantly learning. The pay is great also. I bought a dream home last year at age 26. Trades were always looked down on when I was growing up and I’m sure some people still look down on us but I couldnt imagine doing anything else with my life
Yes, college is not for everyone. I met people back in college that would've done better studying a trade. Trade schools should be encouraged, not looked down upon.
You’re right, trades were looked down on when I graduated 20yrs ago from HS. They pushed 4yr degrees and I even had a teacher tell me go to a university and not a community college. I’m about $45k in college debt. Thanks teacher!
THIS dude is *Host material!* He hits every subject matter on the head with his colorful picture painting and delivery! Plus, he's just so freakin' funny! I love the other hosts, but Roy is like Is Sherri Shepherd filling in for Wendy Williams at this point. Just give him the job!
THIS IS ROY'S SHOW NOW!!! He's doing amazing work!🎉
One thing Roy is going to do is shout out his mama and his alma mater!!! 💕I know both are super proud. I really hope this is our new host. (Also, that little "call" from mama got Roy together, real quick. 😂)
Love Roy’s comedic timing man
Although I totally understand this analysis (and love Monsieur Wood as host), I would add one point to his mother's side of the argument: college also teaches you to think critically and make connections between ideas that you wouldn't have made otherwise. I've been teaching for twenty years now, and that is a skill that is sorely needed.
We could do well to ditch the for-profit 4 year University model, and make 2 year general education colleges free. It could also be a parallel option to trade schools and apprenticeship programs, or lead directly into them. This would allow our youth to still get that valuable transitory period between student and adult life, and learn a broad spectrum of college level subjects. This rather than wasting their time/money on specialized classes they probably won't even benefit from once they enter the workforce.
"college also teaches you to think critically" not anymore
Jon Stewart showed up during Roy Week. 'Nuff said.
I've watched Roy's stand-ups multiple times, this feels like I'm watching new material from him. Keep him on permanently, you will retain your audience.

If the overlords can get you into debt before you’ve made a dime, it’s their ideal situation.
The so called college education has been one of the biggest underrated grifts in American society!!!
You still want doctors, teachers, and civil engineers to be college educated though. When there are so many jobs that require a college degree and 340 million Americans, companies and institutions have no reason to change those requirements.

“In my daddy’s suit” , killed it for me. 😂😂😂
RWJ killed it on this one. Great host. Would love to see him on again soon.
I attended a state university back in the day. In 1976, my first years's in-state tuition was $379.00 per semester. And as it was the liberal Seventies, grants and scholarships covered all education costs. Worth every penny.
I went in the mid-80s to a State university in the Midwest. With a Pell Grant and Higher Education Grant, not counting books, mine cost about $750 per year.
Thank you for commenting on the topic and not on who should host😂.
In 2000 I did a 4 college degree in the US and it didn't cost me anything either.
Heard now college is more business than education.
I was in my first year of college when Reagan was elected and cut the federal allocations to state and county universities and colleges by two thirds. In one year tuitions tripled and continued to skyrocket from there and I had to switch to night school in order to earn enough to pay for tuition each semester just to attend school part time.
It was when our economy changed from a Keynesian structure to Friedmanism that colleges and universities, housing, automobiles and almost everything affects your wellbeing became so costly.
Correction; in the above substitute country for county college.
379 per semester then. 379 per class now. Try to be a full-time student with little to 0 aid. We still have to pay 130 bucks to start or else they will drop you. Mind you, this is a community college.
Best host hands down. Just rocking it, new perspective, so many connections, and already knows how to interview!

When it comes to engineering, you definitely need at least a bachelor's degree to even have your resume looked at or get a call for an interview.
However, beyond that it is entirely up to that person in terms of personality but most important is that hunger to get better every year. Higher education, more training, getting out of your field to learn more and making sure you make a name for yourself. That's a sure way to get up there in your profession.
But, you definitely need that diploma first.
Yeah, it's definitely necessary for engineering. I've had older coworkers say they became engineers without college degrees by being a draftsman first, but that doesn't exist anymore. For the mechanical design work I do, a bachelor's is all you'll ever need, no PE or anything in my line of work. College will pay itself off in this case, but definitely do community and then transfer to a 4 year if you can. You'd save tons and get the same job. They just want to see a piece of paper that says "I am smart" and any internship/work experience you can manage.
@@manerabread5177 Agreed. I went to community college first and went into the local state university to get my degree. Left with only 10k debt which I paid off in the first 6 months of employment. That college degree gave me opportunities I wouldn't have had otherwise.
So true. Thanks to my engineering degree, I've had opportunities to work in different industries and gained lots of experience.
The social aspect and environment for self development from living on campus is something that is unique to the college experience. Some folks I know that commuted or went to county school (w/o a campus) regret not experiencing that.
Most people can't afford that kind of college experience.
I don’t watch the Daily Show but now I do! I subscribed because this guy caught my eye and he’s great! I would watch and listen to him.
Over the years we have extended free public education from 6 years to 8 to 12 now. It is time to extend it to 14 by providing an additional two years at community colleges. The U.S. has fallen far behind the world in education because of our capitalistic system of making money off of everything from learning to health. Thank you for pointing this out, Roy.
And to The Daily Show: do the right thing, hire Roy fulltime. This is his show now, there is nobody better or funnier and he will easily carry the legacy of John and Trevor into the future.
Even with so much already going on in the world, this segment was so important to include! Thank you! The personal touch made it really hit home, too.
Truly an incredible interviewer, a great host, I just hope he gets his own show 🙌🏻
Roy, you really do a great job as host of the Daily Show.
Best segment from Roy! You deserve the host position now my friend.
Hope they offer him what he deserves 💸
I was literally just talking about this last week. In-state tuition at my alma mater was 4k a semester when I went, now it’s 19k. With those prices a student could easily graduate with enough loans to buy a house 😔
As I was told, one of the reasons why they do it is because some schools give certain breaks for poorer students who cannot afford the tuition; but whose scholarship does not cover the full cost…. So they heap the balance of the cost on the rest of the student body… so in effect, you could be paying part of someone’s education…. In short, its a behind the scenes rip off!
@@Slo-ryde that's probably because the amounts that were cut from federal education input in the 80's which turned the colleges into for profit pits they have become. . .
Add to that the general stagnation of wages over the decades AND the minimum wage being held so low out of corporate greed.
And this is what we have come to.
@@Slo-ryde I’d actually say the rise is tuition paid for the university’s expansion and purchasing of property across the city. From what I’ve seen and heard from graduates after me, students have benefitted from the convenience of having fast food restaurants and a movie theater on campus, not financial assistance from the school.
Don’t Zoom in on my pain! 😂😂 Roy is made for this
Absolutely LOVE Roy Wood Jr as the host of the Daily Show!
This dude should be the next host for the Daily Shoy. He does an excellent job.
As a teacher, it’s such a challenge to have this conversation with my grade 11-13 kids. I’m torn between telling them the reality and telling them the security that may come from a hamster wheel.
I work with 10-12th year/grade kids and my students are wanting to go to these "big expensive universities" and I've been trying to say that a Bachelor's can be from ANYWHERE as long as you can show the projects and demonstrate a mastery of material when you go into the workforce. Most places only care about your Master's and what work you did in that program and what experience and references you have. The bachelor's degree is slowly becoming obsolete.
My cousin is a 9th grader and I show him job applications and their requirements.
Get a sense of what people are looking for.
Bachelor and 3yrs experience
PhD and 1yr experience
A PhD takes 4-6yrs to earn, but shaves 2yrs off job requirements, maybe not ideal.
Some jobs require a a PhD with no exceptions, so think career first, then educational requirements.
(Pay and degree cost are another thing I will discuss later)
Teach them to earn academic scholarships and the benefits of early college high schools. I have two kids who got into paying programs on top of scholarships.
@@HouseMDaddict hey there, you have permission to use my story: I did go to a fancy college. It actually makes job searches HARDER because half of the jobs I apply to think that I think I'm "above" the work, (like dude, no, I want a paycheck and I applied here specifically), and the other half think I'm underqualified. Not to mention fancy colleges are expensive and miserable places to be. There's no winning
As the parent of an 11th grader looking at colleges with my son right now, I have the same challenge
Excellent thought provoking topic. Well done.
You’re awesome. The most I’ve enjoyed watching the Daily Show in a while… Great job Roy.
I knew many American students studying in Europe. They also said even if it is paid like it is Netherlands it is 10% of what they paid back in US.
College tuition for one year in the Netherlands is currently 2300 euros. In the year 2010, it was 1600 euros.
@@GingerDaemon
Average study time in American colleges is four years. Times €2300,-/year in the Netherlands = €9200,- (~$10.000).
Compare that to $80.000 costs in the US.
Even if you include the additional costs for these four years in the NL (€800,- to €1200,-/month on average for rent, food, public transportation, etc), that's still cheaper.
Let's go with €800,-/month: 48 months x €800 = €38.400/$~42.000
Let's go with the €1200,-/month: 48 months x €1200 = €57.600/~$63.000
And the average of those: 48 months x €1000 = €48.000/~$52.000
Add to all the $10.000 tuition fees:
$42.000 + $10.000 = $52.000
$52.000 + $10.000 = $62.000
$63.000 + $10.000 = $73.000
@@o.b.7217 does 80.000 include housing and food?
What do they do as far as housing? When I was in Paris many years ago, foreigners only had to pay a few hundred euros, but most university students lived at home and commuted. I went through my school, so I was paying my US university tuition which they would use for our housing and program stuff I guess.

Great segment! Thanks for sharing your background. Very inspiring.
Roy Wood Jr. did a phenomenal job during his week of hosting🎉🍾🥳
Out of all the guest hosts I've seen on TDS, I have to say Mr. Woods' performance has been the best. I hope this continues beyond 1 week.
