- I was locked out of my new Liberty Safe. I found plenty of solutions for 0-5 beeps, but couldn't find anything for the continuos beeping that i was getting... turns out it was just the battery (thankfully)!

That was exactly my problem! I needed in my safe tonight and until I found your video, I was at a loss. Nothing online or in the manual … until I found your video. Huge help. Thanks.
O M G you have saved me hundreds of dollars! Been wracking our brains out trying to figure this out for weeks. Changed batteries etc. The safe company were coming out last week but had to reschedule, luckily for us, then I stumbled along your youtube and walaaahhh, new DURACELL battery in and boom open. THANK YOU!!!
I have the exact same problem. Thank you for eventually getting to the point and resolving it
Haha no joke. Great life story haha
Thank you. I had tested my 9volt,,,apparently improperly,,and thought it was good. Didn’t find anything that told me what the continuous beeping was after entering the code that I was 95% sure was correct. Swapped the 9v and all is working.
Sounds like you have a singer in your future!
Thank you so much I’ve been tripping real hard to remember a code that doesn’t exist!
Now I just have to wait until tomorrow to venture out into the COVID-19 world tomorrow.
Thanks so much
Isn’t it crazy to see how far America has fallen since the beginning of the plandemic/global reset? I never would have believed that what we are being forced to do today 9-11-2021 by our own government officials would ever happen in America 🇺🇸 We The American People are totally screwed.
I had the exact same problem!! Thank you for creating this video!! like you -- I couldn't find any material that explained the rapid beeping and flashing followed by failure to open. You start to question whether you remember the combination correctly, but then you say I know I haven't lost my mind that bad. If this symptom had been described in the trouble shooting documentation -- I could have saved a lot of time. Yes, Liberty talks about the battery change but it doesn't tell you the key pad will respond with a series of rapid beeps and red led flashes to signal that the battery is too weak to disengage the lock which only occurs when the correct combination has been entered and battery is too weak. If there is such a document, I'd love to see it. Something as simple as : "You entered the correct code and then you hear a series of quick beeps accompanied by flashing red led -- this mean your battery has insufficient strength to unlock the door so please replace with Duracell 9v.
Thanks again!!!
Thank you for making this video. Obviously i'm way late to the party as you posted this 5 years ago, but I just got a liberty safe (20 years old) has this same Keypad.. I was able to open it the one time as soon as I got it into my house, put my stuff in it, came back the next day and had this exact problem. Fast beeping just like that. I am off to go get duracell's right now and I'm really hoping it is that easy of a fix.
Same problem here and the Duracell battery fixed it. I would never have figured that out on my own. Much appreciated.
My first guess was a low battery, glad you fixed it!
Thanks, you just saved my night. While I thought battery first, I didn't think that was the issue since my battery checked good and the lights and sounds all worked fine.
Man gotta give it to you this actually worked!!!! I couldn't believe changing to an official Duracell battery over a perfectly good generic was actually the key. Thanks for saving me a lot of time money and headache trying to figure why the fuck my basically new safe decided to stop opening.
Thank you for the video!! Saved me a lot of trouble
Thank you for sharing this info. Was driving us crazy. 😊😊
I had the same issue and couldn't find anything on it. Just came across this and solved my problem. TY.
thanks for the video ,had the same problem and change the battery. perfect
Thank you! Saved me a couple hundred dollars!
Hey u saved my tail! It worked! I can't thank you enough THANK YOU so much!!! 🤜💥🤛
Thanks Stew! What the heck Liberty safes!
Thank you! Desperately need some items out of the safe and we have not been able to figure it out until now. Thanks so much!
Thank you for your video!
Awesome and thank you for the info.
So, change the battery and 123456# and it should work?
I recently had this same problem on my Liberty Tactical 24. I replaced the 9V battery with a new 9V battery, including a Duracel, but still received a series of rapid beeps. In an effort to warm the locking mechanism, I decided to wrap my Tactical 24 in an electric blanket. After a few hours of being wrapped up, with the electric blanket set on high, the safe opened without the series of rapid beeps. I've contacted Liberty to see if there are temperature specifications/recommendations, or not.
That's fucked up.
What is better a library or securit safe?
If you replace the battery and it still won't open take the batteries out of the key pad and leave it out overnight and then reinsert the batteries the next day; then try your combo to see if it will open. Sometimes discharging the capacitor will get things working again. Hope this helps!
Does the battery have to be a Duracell to make the safe work
No, any brand name Alkaline battery will work.
Plus, I would also use a new battery or batteries.
Actually, Yes! It requires a Duracell Or Energizer Battery!
No it does not.... I had a spare dollar store battery i threw in to get me into the safe til i could buy a Duracell but it did not last for long either....
Thanks, was very worried that I could not get into my safe, this fixed it….now do you have a video on how to reset the code?
Winner!!! Thank you!
Thanks a bunch
Thank you!!!!
Thanks!!!
I never reported back but here i am .... It did work except no battery is lasting longer than a month.... I ended up buying Lithium 9v batteries off of Ebay and they have been in for 2 months.
I apologize for the my super-delayed response! I actually went through a few batteries myself. I called my local Liberty dealer, and he came out and exchanged the entire lock/keypad... turns out, they have issues with some locks pulling power from the battery continuously and that's what caused my/your batteries to run out so fast. I would suggest contacting your local dealer if the lithium batteries don't last.
I have same issue I don’t see how to get battery tray out
Robertw there is a button looking thing on top. Slightly pull it out. Then grasp the entire ring and slide it out over the dial about an inch. Battery is tucked in the top. Fish it out and replace it. Push ring back on then button. Enter your combination and should be good to go.
This just happened to me and I've barely had my safe a month.
And mine didn't work when I got it. We had to put a fresh battery in it to even get it off the pallet. So the battery is only a month old.
This is bullshit.
Video starts at 1:29
Never had the issue and pretty sure it’s never had a Duracell in it either….just whatever brand fresh 9v
Wow i thought the video was in slow motion.
Absolute cringe listening to this man!
Geez man. Get to it
I have this same exact safe and mine just locked me out.. I am on my way now to get a new battery.... If this works i thank you soooooo much... I will report back.
Mine just beeps wont let me put nothin in
Yoboy Bigsexy yo same
This cheap crap lock has me locked out of my safe and I cannot get into the safe to get my hubby;s medications for his arthritis. From one day to the next, the combo I had been using just wasn't accepted! I have to wait 'till Monday now (Friday evening), to get help. I'll never buy another safe with this type of lock, from now on mechanical only. Piece of cheap crap.
I’m in
So I could have saved 5 minutes of stuttering by just telling us change the battery?!
There is another utube video which shows how to get battery out mine doesn’t have tray on bottom
Precisely why I will never own a safe, by any manufacturer, that has an electronic keypad to unlock it.
There were locksmiths for thousands of years before keypads came into existence. Seems the the mechanical locks break also lol.
This didnt help at all.

Tank you
This is what I needed!!!!!
To do what?
First 3 minutes wasted. Get to the point before I get old.
Boohoo. The video was well worth the three minutes in my life to get the safe open.
100% agree! Don't do drugs kidz! Fucking terrible lol.
What a waste of my time.
What’s your PayPal? I’ll send you a penny for the 3:57 of your time...
How-to-Stew I’m good. Just trying to open my safe. Battery was the first thing I changed.
well too bad it was a waste of your time it wasnt a waste of my time and others that had the same issue.
My 2 year old could have done a better job explaining this...........WOW
Too bad your 2yr old couldn’t figure out how to open your safe for you too…🤷🏻♂️🤔
Lol nope. Wasn't worried about getting into my safe bc I dont have one, was just doing research before I bought one and this showed up in the recommendations 😀
