I just made this. Tasted like alcapurrias. I use 3 plantains and 2 whole eggs. I put salt, pepper, adobo, garlic ,green peppers, yellow peppers and onion. I did it all in my food processor. Very easy and very good. Definitely would make this again.
Thank you for the feedback and I love what you did with it . ❤️❤️❤️
Would really love to know which one of the two is tastier, can I hear please
@@maricacareera5874 I like both
I am looking forward to making this. Thank you for sharing your recipe
Absolutely divine.
This has been done. I grew up in this. Most Puerto Ricans grew up on this. We call it Plantain balls. We usually use Plantains and green banana together with herbs and spices, fry them lightly and use them for soup like dumplings.
It reminds me of a Puerto Rican "alcapurria" without the ground meat filling
Omg, puerto Rican food!! Not puerto Rican but I LOVE you guys food!! It's popular in Hawai'i and I could eat anything plantain! Tostones, alcapurias, even pasteles! Maybe it's the African in me that loves it!!
You do realize that many Puerto Ricsns have African ancestry. That's why people don't understand the hate. Mexico the majority of their culture is African based too. Yet they too have the same hatred.
@@TWLogik Agreed. Many of the LatinX community don't underestimate their roots.
Yes I thought we P.R. did this…. Really good
The one and only creative ndudu by fafa🥰🥰🥰🥰
We call it Accra in Trinidad, it’s made with salted dry cod fish or shrimp. The flour is seasoned well and fried, looks the same when fried.
Oh yes, from Trinidad as well.
Accra from my country made with red and white coco
I said this is Accra. Have to try the plantain verson🇹🇹

Awesome!
Very creative. Nice job
Being from Puerto Rico this is very familiar to me. You must try it in soup or bean stew. Instead of frying it is boiled. Especially in Pigeon Peas stew, it’s a must. We make it both ways, fry or boiled.
Love the sound of that. Thank you for the knowledge ❤️❤️
Thank you for tip. Does Cuba have these also?
@@devakikaren Yes, also Dominican Republic and many Latin American countries.

Beautiful voice
delicious food
I love the way way you use plantain, We too use it every day, boiled of course, otherwise it would be too fattening, it's one of our daily (for breakfast and lunch or dinner) staples apart from rice. And, this maybe new to you but for us we do something similar and we add cod fish or herring to it or inside and call it "marinade" depending on where you're from. We use plantain in so many different ways. I love your videos, it makes me very happy!
Thanks for the education. Much appreciated 😘
I like your recipe thanks for sharing

Well hello there Fafa! Peace be with you! I finally tried out your green plantain akarah recipe and those fritters came out fantastic! I used the green olantains in a hurry because I didn’t want them to ripen before I got a chance to try out the recipe! I used my metal mortar and pounder set and pounded the grated green plantain just like you’d did until smooth! I diced a green chili and used 1/2 scotch bonnett pepper and diced everything and added to plantain. I included 1/2 tsp each of baking powder and baking soda and finally one egg yolk. I’m iced everything until well combined. I used my hands to dorm each fritter and dropped them into hot oil and fried 4 minutes on each side. Thank you so much for the recipe. Oh the only change I made were some of the peppers only because of availability as well as amount of my tolerated heat.
You used the best peppers, Scotch bonnet! Scotch bonnet is not only hot, but tasty it also has a nice "scent".
Mmmmit look jamoooo Oo my goodness awesome love it thank you very much🤪😘😋❤❤
