I went from a Model S to a Lexus LS500 and thought that was a real luxury car. This may be my next car 👌

Hello! Great video. Noticed you were struggling a bit with the automatic gearbox upshifting or reverting to 'automatic' too quickly when in manual mode every now and then. To prevent this from happening you can set up the Individual* drive profile so that the gearbox stays in 'manual' mode. Hope this helps!

I really appreciate this review. I've seen a bunch already of this car but they don't do a good job of conveying what the driver would actually experience (interacting with the screens, options, seats, and of course, driving). So until now, I had a hard time understanding what made the car great unless I just bought into the Mercedes badge status. So, thank you, nice job.

When you were driving in sports plus mode, the car would not hold at 6300 and was also too eager to upshift. When you are using the paddles the car is put in temporary manual mode. But the car can be put in a “permanent” manual mode (Dynamic select -> individual ->settings -> drive -> manual). Was curious if that would make the sporty drive quality a bit better as opposed to using the automatic sports plus mode with the temporary use of the paddles. Would try myself but car not delivered yet. Would love to know if this would allow the car to hang out at 6300 rpm or higher and if it would prevent the car from upshifting prematurely.

Just my $0.02 I really do value learning how each car functions with CarPlay and Android Auto, because connecting it and launching it is a bit different in every vehicle, and sometimes it's harder to set up or engage in some cars. And knowing if it's wireless or not and how easy or hard it is to engage it once the phone wirelessly connected is all part of the user experience that most people will need to deal with. So seeing this in action would be very useful for not only this but all other vehicles reviewed.

How do you think the handling and driving satisfaction of this compares to the equivalent GLE?

A question: Did this particular car have the acoustic package? I don’t recall if he said.

@@plamenspasov642 it’s rated for 23 MPG in the city, and 30 on the highway. While, I will get 30 on the highway, my long-term average over the last two years is about 21 MPG since most of my driving is in the city and I think their city rating is not realistic. No issues whatsoever with the hybrid system.

Wireless isn’t that common yet for whatever reason. My Lexus LS500 isn’t wireless either but I bought a device that’s on its way to me to make it wireless. Hopefully easy fix.

Wireless is useless due to several factors like power consumption and heat.. but the most relevant issue is that the 2.4ghz spectrum overlaps with surrounding transmissions including the car's own hotspot and BT transceiver.. it is just a shiny feature for the uneducated.

It’s not just about the powertrain, there’s a lot more to a car. I enjoyed this review even as a model 3 owner. It’s good to see what kind of chassis tuning, NVH, material choices, build quality etc we can expect from Mercedes EVs in the future.

A lot of people do. Do you cook all of your food in a microwave? Yeah it's fast like EV but just no soul like cooking over an open flame. EV is not an engaging experience unless you buy a Taycan.
