- In order to maintain peace, purity, and unity in the church, it is necessary to exercise discipline, sometimes even to the point of excommunication. Many Christians and church leaders view such discipline negatively, but when properly understood, church discipline is a great blessing. In this lecture, Dr. Steven Lawson looks at what the Bible tells us about church discipline, explaining how and why it is to be used.

Truly one of the better expositors of scripture today.
NAh. Reformed theology is fraught with unbiblical exegesis and presuppositions
@@stevej71393 where is the reformed definition of sola scriptura in the Bible? Where is sola fide in the Bible? It should be clear and perspicacious by the reformed definition. So please show me verses.
@@stevej71393 compared to the first 1500 years of Christianity in the East.
Joseph: Yes, I think that Lawson is actually a better expository preacher than John MacArthur!
@@Hoodinator17 You should know that you are asking questions which most evangelicals cannot even begin to address.
Lawson, MacArthur, & RC what blessings !
Reformed false teachers
Facts you know your speakers. Check out John Piper Voddie Baucham and Paul Washer
Thank you Father God...with true discipline,we, Your Church radiates with Your Glory!
I a.m blest by his preaching. He lives What he preaches. He is humble and a true man of God.
Cuts me to the heart. This IS 100% Biblical. Accept it ....Godly Love
I love following ur sermons and god's work done through you
Praise the Lord. Thank you for this spiritual guidance. Amen. The Church is to evaluate its members and God will judge those in the world.
Explosive message... Amen and Amen.... ACCOUNTABILITY.... ACCOUNTABILITY OF THE CHURCH.....
When I see there are 18,700 views and 505 likes that speaks volumes .!!!! 🙏📖
This is the way I heard it from my earliest days ... NEVER DESPISE THE CHASTENING HAND OF THE LORD ... because if you do one day it might be too late
Amen
Do not associate with those who love their sin
Those who say they are saved but allow sin to have dominion over them
Amen...🔥 Beautiful....and vital....📜💕🌷
"The greatest scandal was the church that failed to deal with this sin." Does this sound like any church that you know of?
Sounds like every church I can think of just about. But then again I don't hear preaching like this at any of those.
Amen!!
ouch...but Philippines my country needs this!
Amen
I would love to be able come see u in person Steve
This world and the Church of God may be approaching it's last and final days before the Lord's Return , Rapture of the True Church and Terrible Judgment on this evil world ...
Thankyou Rev. Nut Job .
The rapture isn’t in the Bible. False exegesis
@@Hoodinator17 ...The reference is ...WE WHO ARE ALIVE WILL BE ... CAUGHT UP TO MEET HIM IN THE AIR ...AND SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH THE LORD..
@@jtfairchild3838 sure, I’ve read that very passage. But it doesn’t explicitly say the rapture doctrine as defined by modern Protestants. You gotta read that into it. And so have many other Christian’s for 2,000 years have understood it differently. But only a few, very recently have gotten the Rapture from it.
12:45 - all the sins being pointed out seem to be just fine in the Old Testament!
DISCIPLINE THEM
Call them out by name
They are doing harm to the testimony of Christ
False church. Sola scriptura is not in scripture. You make yourself to be your own popes. Comical
Christ is king, and no other.
I’m confused by your argument….why do you believe this is a false church/teacher?
@@medicsimmons80 Because of certain reformed presuppositions that lead to faulty exegesis.
@@Hoodinator17 why is your take on say 1 Corinthians 4:6 where it talks about what is written? (I am not arguing, merely enjoying the dialogue if you have time) I am always open to learning
@@medicsimmons80 My take on that is in perfect harmony with my take on 2 thess 2:15. If you get my direction. Thanks
