  • Hi! Welcome back to my kitchen! Today we're making my family's recipe for Gołąbkis, or Polish cabbage rolls. They're super delicious, and they're perfect to prep the night before and leave in the crock pot or slow cooker the whole next day. These Gołąbkis are very easy to make, and this cabbage roll recipe uses tomato sauce, which is the way my family has always made it. The tomato sauce gives the rice and meat a delicious flavor, and since it cooks low and slow, it is so soft and juicy! You definitely must try this Polish Gołąbki recipe.     Omg! This is exactly like how my Dad makes them! When he is not looking I add a pinch of salt to the cabbage water. Then I trim the tough middle of the leaf down to help with rolling and add it back to the meat.

      That’s so smart!! I bet the salt probably makes the leaves fold a little better? I like to add some of the cabbage back into the filling when I make them, too! It’s fun to mess with family recipes....when family isn’t looking 😉🤣
